Two out of three of those convicts have been revealed to be migrants, Norwegian broadcaster TV2 <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tv2.no\/a\/10432505\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>reports<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">According to Statistics Norway, the number of immigrants as a part of the total population of Oslo is 33 percent, meaning that in violent crime, immigrants are vastly overrepresented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The 140 convictions have involved incidents including assaults with weapons such as knives and some of the victims have been left with life-changing injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">75 Percent of Pre-Trial Prisoners in Berlin Are Foreigners  <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VmoGgjrI6Y\">https:\/\/t.co\/VmoGgjrI6Y<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1047222186224771072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 2, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Researcher Ragnhild Bj\u00f8rnebekk said that the statistics on\u00a0migrant crime were unsurprising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cThey are more vulnerable, they have experienced more trauma.\u00a0Some of them come from violent cultures, and they take it with them.\u00a0And then there are some of those who are not Oslo residents, who come from other countries and only stay here for a few months,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Some have blamed the immigration policies and local politicians in Oslo such as\u00a0City councillor Raymond Johansen who replied to criticisms saying, \u201cWe have integration challenges in Norway, but we must look at more than the crime statistics.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cImmigrant girls do well in higher education.\u00a0So there we can turn it around and ask why it goes so well with the integration in Norway,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The Oslo figures mirror those of several other countries including Italy where migrants are believed to account for suspects in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2018\/08\/25\/nearly-one-three-crimes-italy-committed-foreigners\/\">one in three crimes<\/a><\/strong><\/span> nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Austria: More Than Half of Suspects in Murders of Women in 2017 Were Foreigners <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/r7Xk7zki34\">https:\/\/t.co\/r7Xk7zki34<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1091290064506646528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 1, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Other European countries have seen even higher rates of migrant-background criminality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In the Austrian capital of Vienna, migrants are suspects in <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2018\/08\/09\/migrant-crisis-over-half-of-criminal-suspects-in-vienna-are-foreigners-rape-and-murder-up\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>over half of the crimes<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in the city, while in the German capital of Berlin they are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2017\/09\/25\/almost-half-crimes-berlin-migrants\/\">just under half<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of all suspects.
