The Internet giants have become increasingly politicised. Tommy Robinson\u2019s banning is the latest example and it illustrates how rules about \u201chate speech\u201d are being applied very selectively.<\/h5>\n
It might be Facebook\u2019s patent double standards<\/a><\/span> when it come to what it will or will not ban. Or maybe it\u2019s just because Facebook CEO Zuckerberg seems to have teamed up with Macron<\/a><\/span> to combat online \u201chate speech\u201d, or how he seems to be following Angela Merkel\u2019s instructions<\/span><\/a> on the matter. Either way large parts of the web, including Zuckerberg\u2019s online dominion, are becoming as tightly monitored as any dictatorship.<\/h5>\n
Tommy Robinson was becoming a problem for the corporate media. For example he recently secretly filmed a presenter for the BBC\u2019s Panorama documentary program likening \u201cwhite working-class males\u201d to \u201ccannibals<\/span>\u201d<\/a>. Days later Robinson led a demonstration outside the BBC\u2019s Manchester offices, which drew over 4,000 protesters.<\/h5>\n
Now, almost on cue, both Facebook and Instagram have banned him.<\/h5>\n
You don\u2019t have to support Robinson to see that what he says resonates with many, particularly what he says about the media.<\/h5>\n
This has the potential to seriously undermine the powers that be. They are reliant on the mainstream media in furthering their plans. It paved the way for regime change in Iraq by demonising Saddam and was doing the same with Syria’s Assad, until Russia intervened.<\/h5>\n
The corporate media is now also following a similar agenda as it forces through social change by mainstreaming homosexuality.<\/h5>\n
By questioning the media\u2019s agenda Robinson has voiced a growing suspicion among many. In effect, he has called into question an instrument of the elite’s power. Had he continued he would have prompted many more to question what they are told by the media?<\/h5>\n
Obviously, this could not be allowed. So Robinson has been banned but we suspect that he won’t be the last. Others will follow as more call into the question the media\u2019s REAL agenda. Ed.<\/h5>\n

Tommy Robinson banned from Facebook and Instagram<\/h1>\n

Tommy Robinson, the far-right founder of the English Defence League, has been permanently banned from Facebook and Instagram for repeatedly breaking the sites\u2019 policies on hate speech, Facebook said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company said Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, broke rules that ban public calls for violence against people based on protected characteristics; rules that ban supporting or appearing with organised hate groups; and policies that prevent people from using the site to bully others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision to ban Robinson from the social media sites could threaten his ability to reach large audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robinson is already banned from Twitter and the decision to cut him off from Instagram<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and Facebook will leave him reliant on YouTube as the only major online platform to provide him with a presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a blogpost, Facebook said<\/strong><\/span><\/a>: \u201cWhen ideas and opinions cross the line and amount to hate speech that may create an environment of intimidation and exclusion for certain groups in society \u2013 in some cases with potentially dangerous offline implications \u2013 we take action.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTommy Robinson\u2019s Facebook<\/strong><\/span><\/a> page has repeatedly broken these standards, posting material that uses dehumanizing language and calls for violence targeted at Muslims. He has also behaved in ways that violate our policies around organized hate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The ban comes a month after Facebook issued a final written warning against Robinson, warning him that if he continued to break the company\u2019s hate speech policies he would be removed from its platform permanently.<\/span><\/p>\n

That warning had been issued for breaches that included a post calling on people to terrorise and behead those who follow the Qur\u2019an; a post calling on people to \u201cmake war\u201d on Muslims; and multiple videos showing people being bullied.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following that warning, Robinson did break Facebook\u2019s policies again, it says, through:<\/span><\/p>\n
