PRIMARY school children from the age of five are reportedly set to receive compulsory lessons about gay and trans relationships.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

New guidance set to be published tomorrow will also ban parents from opting their kids out of sex education in secondary school, it has been reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

Head teachers will be ordered to bring in the new classes when they are rolled out nationally next year, according to the Sunday Times<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The paper says primary school children will learn about same-sex and trans families.<\/span><\/p>\n

And pupils will also be taught about staying safe online – and developing “healthy, respectful relationships\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, secondary school children will receive at least one compulsory term of sex ed lessons by the time they are 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

These classes will also include lessons on the \u201ccatastrophic\u201d damage caused by female genital mutilation (FGM).<\/span><\/p>\n

Sexting, online grooming, domestic violence and forced marriage will also be covered in class.<\/span><\/p>\n

FAITH GROUPS’ ANGER<\/h2>\n

The new curriculum is being brought in on the orders of education secretary Damian Hinds.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the move faces a backlash from religious groups who have been vocally opposed to teaching about same-sex and trans issues in schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Muslim parents in Birmingham held a primary school-gates protest<\/a><\/strong><\/span> over lessons on homosexuality and gender.<\/span><\/p>\n

They accused a gay assistant headteacher<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>of promoting\u00a0LGBT causes<\/strong><\/span><\/a> without their consent at Parkfield Community School.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some mums and dads from the predominantly Muslim area said they would rather leave the country than let their children carry on with the lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Children were kept out of class for the first hour of the day, with some joining in chants on the street.<\/span><\/p>\n

They held signs reading “education not indoctrination” and “let kids be kids.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Members of an evangelical Christian group also joined them in demonstrating.<\/span><\/p>\n
