The network was called out over the weekend for\u00a0relying on a Democrat-run firm that created fake Russian Twitter bots to stage\u00a0a \u201cfalse flag\u201d campaign against Republic Roy Moore in the 2017 Alabama special election \u2013 New Knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">To justify its\u00a0claim that Tulsi Gabbard is the Kremlin\u2019s candidate,\u00a0<em>NBC<\/em>\u00a0writes:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Analysts at New Knowledge, the company the Senate Intelligence Committee used to track Russian activities in the 2016 election, told NBC News they\u2019ve spotted \u2018chatter\u2019 related to Gabbard in anonymous online message boards, including those known for fomenting right-wing troll campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Only to be called out\u00a0<strong>hard<\/strong>\u00a0by journalist Glenn Greenwald:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This NBC News report is a total disgrace from top to bottom. It&#39;s a joke using the most minimal journalistic standards. But that&#39;s because NBC is in partnership with the Democratic Party (and intel community) to smear any Dem adversary, on the left or right, as a Kremlin tool: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1jUhJQuhJu\">pic.twitter.com\/1jUhJQuhJu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ggreenwald\/status\/1092061711866183680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 3, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">After Greenwald fingered\u00a0<em>NBC<\/em>\u00a0for relying on New Knowledge \u2013 run by\u00a0Jonathan Morgan (who also developed\u00a0the technology behind \u201cHamilton 68\u201d Russian bot-tracking\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ggreenwald\/status\/965926273594941440\">propaganda website<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0that refuses to disclose its methods) \u2013 Gabbard chimed in, tweeting:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">@ggreenwald exposes that @NBC used journalistic fraud to discredit our campaign. But more important is their motive: \u201cto smear any adversary of the establishment wing of the Democratic Party \u2013 whether on the left or the right \u2013 as a stooge or asset of the Kremlin.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">She later added:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As commander-in-chief,\u00a0<strong>I will work to end the new cold war, nuclear arms race and slide into nuclear war.
