<\/a><\/p>\nLIKE A NOISE IN THE DARK<\/strong> that shocks the psyche out of a deep sleep so my dream last night sent shivers up and down my spine.<\/span><\/p>\n I dreamt I was having lox and bagels at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan with Jared Kushner, Trump\u2019s ambassador to the Jewish vote, who is also Mohammed bin Salman\u2019s personal peacemaking envoy to the West banking arm of the West Wing.<\/span><\/p>\n Suddenly, a black Mercedes pulls up to the entrance and Kushner pushes me into the back seat while he sits in front next to the driver, a woman wearing a Muslim headdress.<\/span><\/p>\n Turning to me Kushner exclaimed, \u201cIsn\u2019t it grand, and a large step for democracy, that the crown prince has freed up Muslim women by allowing them to drive!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCan they speak out against the regime?\u201d asked I.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOh yes,\u201d responded Kushner, \u201cthey are very vocal with an intense hatred toward the Assad regime, and the Ayatollah regime, and really, every regime in the whole wide world that are the enemies of democracy, and foes of the only democracy in the universe, Israel.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIn the universe?\u201d I questioned, \u201cIsrael is the only democracy in the universe?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou bet your matzah balls, it is!\u201d stressed Kushner, \u201cwe\u2019re, I mean, Israel\u2019s the only country where settlers can vote in places where Jewish voters never could vote before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Before I could say, \u201cFILCHED,\u201d I found myself in some palatial place right smack in the middle of the desert.<\/span><\/p>\n Wondering where I was I kept asking myself if I was dreaming when a man in a long robe with a wide smile came up to me.<\/span><\/p>\n WITH A SCYTHE-LIKE SAW<\/strong> in his right hand, bin Salman gave me a big, huge hug, with the saw, teeth-side in, lying across my shoulder bones.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOuch!\u201d I cried, \u201cdem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones, now hear the word of the Washington Post.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n I realized that I was not being too politically correct, and with Jared scowling at me I blurted out, \u201cjust joking, doesn\u2019t anybody here have a sense of humor?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe do,\u201d said bin Salman, \u201cbut jokes about cold blooded murder, of which I could\u2019ve known about but may not have known about, have no place on the world\u2019s stage, as your own senator, Felix Mendelssohn, said the other day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n I thought to myself you\u2019re in a real fix now. How ya gonna to tell the crown prince that he\u2019s confusing Felix Mendelssohn with Senator Menendez?<\/span><\/p>\n Shall I tell his Royalness that the senator\u2019s first name is \u201cBob\u201d and not \u201cFelix?\u201d If I do I might offend him. So I kept my mouth shut.<\/span><\/p>\n Ruminating, I thought, hey, Menendez\u2019s first name is Robert, why am I calling the scoundrel \u201cBob\u201d like he\u2019s a regular kind of nice guy, like everyone calls Pompeo \u201cMike\u201d like he\u2019s your friendly neighbor who hates Iran, hates Russia, hates China, hates Syria, hates Somalia, hates Yemen, hates everyone\u2014except Israel\u2014like all Americans who have no clue where Yemen is and are supposed to hate everyone that \u201cMike\u201d hates, and love the Jewi\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMISTER BROTHER!\u201d<\/strong> bin Salman interrupted, \u201cwe\u2019ll be serving din din in a few, Chop Suey ala<\/em> Saudi style. You keep kosher, nu?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Nodding my head no and feeling nauseous I coughed this up:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYour Crownishness, do excuse my boldness here at the Western Wing of Israeli expansionism but the senator used the phrase \u201cthe world\u2019s stage\u201d to concur with Gina Haspel\u2019s debriefing on the, ahem, bone-slicing murder of Jamal Khashoggi.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Avoiding Kushner\u2019s harsh scowl, I continued while the Saudis placed a porcelain vase filled with Chop Suey (Saudi style) next to me on a table stand with a Jewish Star embedded in the vase, fearing I might knock it over if I got too heated.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cLook, whatever your Royalness might have against Gina Haspel she convinced Menendez and a whole slew of senators like Lindsey Graham and other Congressional slaying-enablers of a thousand, ten thousand, probably a hundred thousand, Palestinians.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI mean,\u201d said I, \u201cDavid slew Goliath, and that for a just cause, but Jews are slaying ten thousands of your brothers for an unjust cause, your Arab brothers in Palestine slain every day. Don\u2019t you care?
