\u201cAmericans are tired of war,\u201d Paul told<\/a><\/strong><\/span> CNN today regarding Trump\u2019s tweeted<\/em> Syrian pullout, \u201cmoney spent on combat abroad is better spent on roads, bridges, and schools at home.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Last April the senator specified<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that Trump confided that \u201cWe\u2019re getting the hell out of Afghanistan\u201d assuring<\/a><\/strong><\/span> him he\u2019d be returning to the non-interventionist policies that he championed as a candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enjoying Paul\u2019s support, a deal was likely struck in a swap for \u2018getting the hell out of foreign entanglements,\u2019 Paul would bring in exchange a slew of non-interventionists to back Trump\u2019s 2020 bid.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will the troops come home? Rand\u2019s gonna hold Trump\u2019s feet to the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Erdogan wants<\/em> is mastery of the Middle East starting<\/a><\/strong><\/span> with northern Syria by disposing of Syrian Kurds whose US-constructed Syrian Defense Forces<\/em> will either make nice with Assad or choke on Turkish bombs and tanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The real losers?<\/span><\/p>\n

Certainly the Syrian Kurds, who\u2019ve been cut loose by their erstwhile American ally.<\/span><\/p>\n

Any dream they had of greater autonomy inside Syria, or an independent state, is not going to be realized. But then, that was never really in the cards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forced to choose between Turkey, with eighty million people and the second-largest army in NATO, and the stateless Kurds with their Syrian Democratic Forces, Trump chose Erdogan.<\/span><\/p>\n

NOW THAT TRUMP<\/strong> has left<\/strong> <\/a><\/span>the Syrian Kurds in a lurch they better run<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for cover<\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019re at a blinking red light where they need to stop, look both ways, and if they\u2019re smart, turn to Damascus.<\/span><\/p>\n

But a green light has been signaled to Turkey with Trump giving Erdogan a lit up highway in a tweet<\/a><\/strong><\/span> twittered yesterday:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I became President, ISIS was going wild. Now ISIS is largely defeated and other local countries, including Turkey, should be able to easily take care of whatever remains. We\u2019re coming home!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

There are only two significant pockets of ISIS left in Syria on the complete opposite side of Syria near Iraq, some 250 miles away from the Turkish border.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the pretext of \u2018taking care\u2019 of ISIS in eastern Syria, Trump may have given NATO ally Erdogan the greenlight to ramp up the Turkish Army for hand-over control of the 13 US military bases located there.<\/span><\/p>\n

AND JUST TODAY TRUMP tweeted<\/a><\/span><\/strong> that he and Erdogan agreed to \u201ca slow & highly coordinated pullout of US troops from the area.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Slow? How slow can you go\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.?<\/span><\/p>\n
