Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1017744109308645376?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Other apologists for Mayor Khan have stressed that, despite massive increases in offences such as acid and machete attacks, moped-enabled crime, and terrorism which have been apparent during his time in office, homicides do remain below their high points in the 1990s \u2014 but this does not account for the fact that the establishment of\u00a0the London Trauma System incorporating specialist Major Trauma Centres and Trauma Units in 2010 has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/health-and-families\/health-news\/trauma-survival-rates-rise-by-50-per-cent-according-to-nhs-england-10411918.html\">greatly increased<\/a><\/strong><\/span> victims\u2019 odds of surviving potentially mortal injuries in recent years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Other factors improving the survival rates of victims of violence include the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/news\/health\/capital-gets-second-air-ambulance-in-momentous-day-for-londoners-a3166976.html\">expansion<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of London\u2019s Air Ambulance Service, which is now attending more <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2018\/03\/17\/air-ambulance-stabbings-shootings-road-accidents-sadiq-khan-london\/\">stabbings and shootings<\/a><\/strong><\/span> than road traffic accidents for the first time in its 30-year-history, and the widespread adoption of techniques <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.economist.com\/international\/2017\/10\/12\/trauma-medicine-has-learned-lessons-from-the-battlefield\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>developed on the battlefiel<\/strong><\/span>d<\/a> in war zones like Afghanistan by doctors and paramedics, such as the routine use of tourniquets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Even taking the statistics as they stand, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/london\/2018\/01\/02\/sadiqs-london-knife-crime-gun-crime-theft-burglary-rape-homicide-massively\/\">youth homicide<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in particular is massively up compared even to the years prior to 2008, with some suggestion that London\u2019s shifting demographics are\u00a0contributing to a breakdown in social cohesion, previously observed by scholars such as Professor Robert Putnam in communities undergoing a rapid <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff;
