Meanwhile China <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/politics\/article-foreign-affairs-minister-says-second-canadian-may-have-been-detained\/\">may have detained a second Canadian<\/a><\/span> in retaliation for Canada&#8217;s arrest of\u00a0Huawei executive Ms Meng Wanzhou, who has been granted bail but could face a lengthy prison term.<\/h5>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>by Brabantian &#8212; <\/strong><strong>(henrymakow.com)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h5><strong>These last few days<\/strong> we have seen a masterfully-played hand by China, against the foolish decision of Canadian authorities to play along with a US neocon and &#8216;Israel first&#8217; game against China.<\/h5>\n<h5>Canada&#8217;s arbitrary arrest of a leading Chinese citizen, Huawei executive Ms Meng Wanzhou, at the request of USA neocons acting behind the back of US President Trump, was an act of pure political malice, violating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.henrymakow.com\/2018\/12\/-was-huawei-exec-arrest.html\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">a number of principles of international law<\/span>.<\/a><\/h5>\n<h5>And clearly absurd, when no less than 25 other banks and institutions have been &#8216;violating US sanctions&#8217; and admitted guilt via paying fines, but never suffered any executive arrests.
