{"id":178247,"date":"2018-10-27T04:06:54","date_gmt":"2018-10-27T04:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=178247"},"modified":"2018-10-29T06:47:48","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T06:47:48","slug":"nation-transfixed-in-horror-by-toy-bombs-while-destroying-lives-with-real-ones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=178247","title":{"rendered":"Nation Transfixed In Horror By Toy Bombs While Destroying Lives With Real Ones"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Caitlyn Johnstone &#8212; caitlynjohnstone.com Oct 25, 2018<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/parcel-bomb-for-Brennan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-178170\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/parcel-bomb-for-Brennan.jpg\" alt=\"parcel bomb for Brennan\" width=\"540\" height=\"304\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Media headlines have been dominated for the last two days by the news that pipe bombs are being sent to Democratic Party elites and their allies, a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/2018\/10\/25\/18022376\/pipe-bomb-targets-packages-democrats-clinton-obama-soros-de-niro\">list of whom<\/a><\/strong><\/span> as of this writing consists of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack and Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, George Soros, Maxine Waters, Eric Holder, Robert De Niro, and the CNN office (addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan who actually works for NBC). As of this writing nobody has been killed or injured in any way by any of these many explosive devices, and there is as of this writing no publicly available evidence that they were designed to. As of this writing, there is no evidence that the devices were intended to do anything other than what they have done: stir up fear and grab headlines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">And of course, it is a good thing that nobody has been hurt by these devices. Obviously targeting anyone with packages containing explosive materials is terrible, even if those devices were not rigged with the intention of detonating and harming anyone, and it is a good thing that not a single one of them has done so. It is a good thing that none of America\u2019s political elites were targeted by the sort of explosive device that America drops on people in other countries every single day. You know, the kind that actually explode.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Apparently some Acme comedy bombs mailed to a number of extremely rich people, which thankfully did not hurt anybody at all, are infinitely more newsworthy than the real bombs which maim and destroy children in Yemen on an industrial scale.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Craig Murray (@CraigMurrayOrg) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CraigMurrayOrg\/status\/1055224530199855104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 24, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">It is good that Barack Obama was never sent anything resembling the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2017\/jan\/09\/america-dropped-26171-bombs-2016-obama-legacy\">26,171 bombs that his administration dropped<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>in the final year of his presidency, for example. It is good that neither <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2016\/12\/06\/last-foreign-policy-speech-obama-argues-sustainable-strategy-terror\/95012796\/\">the first US president<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>to serve every minute of his administration under wartime, nor those who served as part of that administration like Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, were targeted with the kinds of weapons which were deployed against impoverished people in other nations every single day for all eight years. People would have been killed and badly injured if anyone had been sent anything like those kinds of explosive devices, their bodies ripped to shreds like the countless civilians killed in the airstrikes which resulted from the Obama administration\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/projects\/la-na-pol-obama-at-war\/\">expansion of Bush\u2019s so-called \u201cwar on terror\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">President Trump, whose administration has been <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.truthdig.com\/articles\/trumps-military-drops-a-bomb-every-12-minutes-and-no-one-is-talking-about-it\/\">dropping even more bombs<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>than its predecessor after <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/trump-drone-strikes-iraq-and-syria-8a242b2b-2387-4153-ad9d-68ecda71b344.html\">expanding the use of drone strikes<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>and\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/04\/05\/us\/politics\/rules-of-engagement-military-force-mattis.html\">peeling back<\/a><\/strong><\/span> regulations on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/donald-trump-us-military-africa-command-somalia-airstrikes-al-shabaab-yemen-mosul-iraq-a7661181.html\">air strikes<\/a><\/strong><\/span> designed to <strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cato.org\/blog\/increased-civilian-casualties-disturbing-question-president-trump\">protect civilians<\/a><\/strong>, was quick to condemn the headline-grabbing pipe bomb campaign which did not hurt anyone whatsoever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cA major federal investigation is now underway,\u201d<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/live\/2018\/oct\/24\/bombs-clintons-obamas-latest-live-news-updates-cnn-time-warner-evacuations-explosive-devices\">said the president<\/a><\/strong><\/span> who continues to assist Saudi Arabia in murdering <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alaraby.co.uk\/english\/comment\/2017\/12\/29\/its-time-to-get-real-about-yemens-death-toll\">untold tens of thousands<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of civilians in Yemen. \u201cThe full weight of our government is being deployed to conduct this investigation and bring those responsible for these despicable acts to justice.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LGmR-nlbwgg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Right now the only political debate happening over these bomb scares is who is responsible for them. I am being told by everyone to the left of Ted Cruz that I am required to believe that this was with 100 percent certainty a terrorist plot orchestrated by a Trump supporter due to the president\u2019s hateful rhetoric against the people who\u2019ve been targeted, and if I don\u2019t subscribe to that belief it means I\u2019m a Nazi. Meanwhile, Trump supporters are telling me this is a deep state false flag designed to get Democrats elected in the midterms because &lt;sarcasm&gt; Republicans are totally not in bed with the alliance of plutocrats and government agencies known as the deep state.&lt;\/sarcasm&gt;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">But the fact of the matter is that next to nothing is known about this case; as of this writing, there isn\u2019t even a suspect yet. The proper thing to do when the mass media is telling us with a unified voice to be afraid of something is to remain agnostic and very, very skeptical of everything we are being told. There are any number of possible explanations for this spate of impotent pipe bombs, many of which don\u2019t involve a partisan explanation at all. Without endorsing any particular one, there are for example a few sociopathic government agencies in the US which would love nothing more than to manufacture support for more intrusive domestic \u201ccounter-terrorism\u201d powers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">But partisan explanations are possible as well; maybe there really is a Trump supporter out there who either (A) wanted to scare Democratic elites without hurting them and didn\u2019t realize doing so would only generate sympathy and unify Democrats right before midterms, or (B) is really, really consistent in being really, really bad at making pipe bombs. Who knows.
