Introduction — Sept 2, 2018<\/h1>\n

America’s military intervention in Iraq and Syria in 2014 was ostensibly to fight ISIS (Daesh\/Islamic State\/ISIL). However, it did little to stop the militant’s advance<\/a><\/span> and from 2014 through to 2015 the militants continued to gain ground and by June 2015 they were still reportedly advancing<\/a><\/span>.<\/h5>\n
That changed abruptly in September 2015 when Russia forces intervened directly and the militant’s advance was suddenly halted.<\/h5>\n
In fact America’s “war on ISIS” was never more than a phoney war<\/a><\/span> designed to cover its REAL campaign<\/a><\/span> to oust Syrian President Assad. American air strikes on the militants weren’t successful because, contrary to what the corporate media claimed, the air strikes were targeting empty deserts<\/a><\/span> NOT ISIS.<\/h5>\n
The U.S. war on ISIS, like the “War on Terror” itself, was a complete sham. The U.S. was primarily focused on ousting Assad and they failed to do that, largely because of Russia’s intervention.<\/h5>\n
Yet the Americans haven’t given up on ousting President Assad, or at least containing him. Despite the fact that with Russian help ISIS has been all but defeated U.S. forces aren’t about to leave Syria in a hurry.<\/h5>\n
Instead, the U.S. is reportedly building advanced radar systems in an area of northern Syrian controlled by the Syrian affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers\u2019 Party (PKK).<\/h5>\n
No matter that the U.S. State department has also listed<\/a> <\/span>the PKK as a “terrorist organisation”, that hasn’t stopped the U.S. using territory controlled by them to retain a foothold in the region.<\/h5>\n
As with ISIS or al Qaeda or the Taliban, the U.S. is ready to cooperate with terrorists and even assist them if it suits its purposes. Indeed the two often seem to work hand-in-glove. So if you see a “terror threat” anywhere in the world expect to see U.S. influence, either in opposition or support, not far behind. Ed.<\/h5>\n

‘US seeks to strengthen presence in Syria by setting up missile defense shield\u2019<\/h1>\n

The Washington administration, which intends to maintain a permanent presence in Syria, has completed the construction of three advanced radar systems in Syria\u2019s Hasakah-Tal Baidar countryside along with the Ayn al-Arab and Sarrin regions and has set up 13 portable and fixed observation-intelligence radar systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to Yeni \u015eafak daily, former Commander of Syria’s Deir Ezzor Military Assembly Fayez al-Esmer evaluated the U.S.\u2019s latest moves in Syria and said that in an addition to all attempts to protect Kurdistan Workers\u2019 Party (PKK) terrorists in the region, Pentagon is in preparation to set up a missile defense shield in Syria\u2019s Hasakah and Rmeilan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe U.S.\u2019s next step is to build a missile defense shield in the region which must be considered as a part of Washington\u2019s long-term plan for chaos in the region,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The U.S. has already begun to create a new no-fly-zone in northern Syria, the same tactic used in the 1991 occupation of Iraq, and started to install advanced radar systems in a 26,000 square kilometer area occupied by the Syrian affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers\u2019 Party (PKK), the PYD, east of the Euphrates.<\/span><\/p>\n
