According to the Russian Defense Ministry, militants are arriving in Syria’s Idlib after being trained by a private British military company called Olive.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Russian Defense Ministry has accused the United States, the United Kingdom and France of\u00a0preparing to\u00a0carry out\u00a0new strikes against\u00a0Syria under\u00a0the pretext of\u00a0chemical weapons use by\u00a0Syrian government forces.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Western countries’ actions in\u00a0spite of\u00a0their public statements are aimed at\u00a0another sharp deterioration of\u00a0the situation in\u00a0the Middle East region and the disruption of\u00a0the peace process on\u00a0the territory of\u00a0Syria,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0the spokesman, militants in\u00a0Idlib province are preparing to\u00a0stage the use of\u00a0chemical weapons against\u00a0civilians by\u00a0the government.<\/span><\/p>\n

“To carry out\u00a0the alleged ‘chemical attack’ in\u00a0the city of\u00a0Jisr al-Shughur in\u00a0the province of\u00a0Idlib, militants from\u00a0the Tahrir al-Sham group (affiliated with\u00a0the Jabhat Nusra* terror organization) had delivered 8 tankers with\u00a0chlorine\u2026 to\u00a0a village a few kilometers from\u00a0Jisr al-Shughur,” the general stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this purpose, the destroyer USS The Sullivans armed with\u00a056 cruise missiles had arrived in\u00a0the Persian Gulf several days ago, while a US \u0412-1\u0412 bomber carrying 24 air-to-surface AGM-158 JASSM cruise missiles has been deployed at\u00a0Al Udeid air base in\u00a0Qatar, the spokesman suggested.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This provocation with\u00a0the active participation of\u00a0the British special services will serve as\u00a0another pretext for\u00a0the US, UK and France to\u00a0conduct a missile strike on\u00a0the Syrian government and economic facilities,” Konashenkov said.<\/span><\/p>\n

A group of\u00a0militants trained under\u00a0the guidance of\u00a0a private British military company, Olive to\u00a0work with\u00a0poisonous substances has arrived in\u00a0Idlib, the ministry said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The militants are tasked with\u00a0imitating the rescue of\u00a0victims of\u00a0chemical weapons’ use in\u00a0the vestments of\u00a0the notorious White Helmets,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Konashenkov, “unfounded” statements vowing to\u00a0respond to\u00a0chemical weapons’ use by\u00a0the Syrian government made by\u00a0a number of\u00a0high-ranking representatives from\u00a0the US, UK and France serve as\u00a0indirect evidence of\u00a0the preparation of\u00a0another “act of\u00a0aggression against\u00a0Syria by\u00a0the United States and its allies.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Russia Warns West Against New Reckless Moves in\u00a0Syria \u2013 Deputy Foreign Minister<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Moscow has heard the recent statements made by\u00a0US Security Adviser John Bolton on\u00a0Syria and is warning the West against\u00a0new reckless moves toward\u00a0the Middle Eastern country, Russian Deputy Foreign\u00a0Minister\u00a0Sergei Ryabkov told Sputnik.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We can hear ultimatums voiced by\u00a0Washington, including public statements. This does not affect our commitment to\u00a0fully eliminate terror cells in\u00a0Syria and return this country to\u00a0normal life \u2026 We warn the United States and its allies against\u00a0new reckless moves,” Ryabkov said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moscow will continue to\u00a0support Damascus in\u00a0its efforts to\u00a0stabilize the situation in\u00a0Syria, including in\u00a0the return of\u00a0refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), the diplomat emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The fact that the western states do not want to\u00a0participate in [these efforts] once again proves that they have other goals [which are] to\u00a0further destabilize Syria, not shunning any tools and continue seeking new pretexts for\u00a0raising the issue of\u00a0regime change, the transfer of\u00a0power in\u00a0Damascus. There is nothing new about\u00a0this \u2026 We are ready for\u00a0such developments, we expose their intentions. But the US [authorities] do not seem to\u00a0learn from\u00a0history, including recent history, because we can currently see the escalation of\u00a0the situation [in Syria],” Ryabkov noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The diplomat suggested that at\u00a0present, “the scenario of\u00a0a gross provocation and subsequent strikes [on Syria] was very likely.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Threats and ultimatums are the only\u00a0languages\u00a0spoken by\u00a0the United States, Ryabkov stressed.<\/span><\/p>\n

On August 23, National Security Adviser John Bolton reportedly told Russian Secretary of\u00a0the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev that America is prepared to\u00a0respond with\u00a0the greater force in\u00a0Syria than\u00a0the last time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US, UK, and France coordinated a massive airstrike on\u00a0Syria in\u00a0April 2018 after\u00a0the alleged use of\u00a0chemical weapons in\u00a0Douma had been reported by\u00a0the controversial NGO “White Helmets”, which has repeatedly been caught staging false flag attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

In July, however, OPCW experts announced that they had found traces of\u00a0organic substances containing chlorine, reportedly used in\u00a0the attack in\u00a0Douma. Yet\u00a0there was no evidence that nerve agents had been used in\u00a0the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first Western missile attack on\u00a0Syrian government forces was conducted by\u00a0the United States on\u00a0April 7, 2017, after\u00a0Washington had accused Damascus of\u00a0being behind\u00a0the purported use of\u00a0chemical weapons in\u00a0the settlement of\u00a0Khan Sheikhoun in\u00a0Idlib province.<\/span><\/p>\n

Damascus has strongly denied the claims, with\u00a0President Bashar Assad saying that the attack was a provocation aimed at\u00a0justifying the US strike on\u00a0Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n
