{"id":163560,"date":"2017-12-31T08:13:30","date_gmt":"2017-12-31T08:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=163560"},"modified":"2018-01-03T05:55:24","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T05:55:24","slug":"donald-trump-steps-up-pressure-on-iran-as-protests-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=163560","title":{"rendered":"Donald Trump steps up pressure on Iran as protests continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Telegraph.co.uk &#8212; Dec 31, 2017<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">US President Donald Trump on Saturday weighed in on protests in Iran for a second straight day, warning that the country\u2019s people want change and &#8220;oppressive regimes cannot endure forever.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Trump posted on Twitter two clips of his speech to the UN General Assembly in September in which he took aim at the Iranian regime, which Washington has held out as its top adversary in the Middle East.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8220;Oppressive regimes cannot endure forever, and the day will come when the Iranian people will face a choice,&#8221; he tweeted, quoting from the speech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8220;The world is watching!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Many reports of peaceful protests by Iranian citizens fed up with regime\u2019s corruption &amp; its squandering of the nation\u2019s wealth to fund terrorism abroad.
