There are a number of suspect characters in the alternative media and David Icke is prime among them. I’ve met the guy and it was obvious that he was driven by his ego rather than any desire for truth. This is why he creates so much harm; by taking others credible research into the events of 9\/11 or the assassination of Princess Diana, for example, he tarnishes it by associating it with his own patently absurd notions.<\/h5>\n
Prime among these is his claim that the British Royal Family are “shape-shifting lizards”. This ridiculous notions is David Icke’s very own but by associating it with others more reliable research he turns otherwise plausible investigations into objects of scorn and derision.<\/h5>\n
That’s probably not his intention but Icke’s rampant egoism probably blinds him to the effect.<\/h5>\n
Indeed that’s probably why he was invited onto BBC1’s political show hosted by Andrew Neil. The corporations bosses must have known his claim that the Windsor are “shape-shifting lizards” would be brought up; rendering by association a joke, his repeating other’s claims that 9\/11 “was an inside job”.<\/h5>\n
We know this to be true but with his own laughable ideas Icke effectively turns it into a joke.<\/h5>\n
This is what happens when one’s ego takes centre stage. I personally know of two researchers who’ve passed their research to Icke and then seen it incorporated into his work, without attribution or acknowledgement, and mixed with his own absurd notions of “shape-shifting lizards”. Ed.<\/h5>\n

The former professional goalkeeper revived his infamous theory that the Windsors are descended from reptilian aliens on the BBC1 political TV show This Week during an interview with Andrew Neil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Icke, a household name as a co-presenter of the BBC\u2019s flagship Saturday sports show Grandstand in the 1980s, created shockwaves in 1991 when he came out as the \u201cSon of the Godhead\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

He went on to accuse certain public figures of being satanic paedophiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

He later came out as a believer of a conspiracy theory that 13 historical families, including the Windsors, were shape shifters who run all finances, politics, and religion across the globe<\/span><\/p>\n

But Mr Icke who goes on world tours with his views and runs a website \u201cExposing the Dreamworld\u201d from his home on the Isle of Wight, was believed to have toned down some of his views in recent years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although subscribing to a number of long standing conspiracy theories, such as the belief that 9\/11 was an inside job, he had entered mainstream political debate after releasing a video urging for the Labour Party to support a Brexit from Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

But in an awkward clash with Mr Neil, the former TV presenter confirmed he still holds some pretty out there beliefs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Neil asked him if he still believed the royals were shape-shifting lizards, to which Mr Icke replied: “Yes I do.”<\/span><\/p>\n

But Mr Icke maintained believing in such a theory should not undermine his other, more mainstream arguments, and claimed there was evidence and the theory ran deeper than the headline story.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIf you deliver it in one line, the world’s run by reptiles, you go ‘that’s crazy’ – immediate reflex action.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But when you see the back story and the evidence to support this, ancient modern, you see that throwaway line in a completely different context.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Former Tory MP Michael Portillo, a This Week regular, handed Icke some partial support by referencing how the notion police were corrupt in connection with Hillsborough was once a conspiracy theory – but had now been proven – who said there had after all been a conspiracy over the football ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Mr Portillo then slammed “intellectually lazy” willing latch on to any conspiracy theory because of their distrust of the authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Icke went on to argue 9\/11 was an inside job.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: “Of course it was. There is a network that works through government agencies, through organisations like the CIA, to push an agenda on the world which is unfolding by the day.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He said David Cameron is “misleading the public” about the effects of a Brexit and reminded how Tony Blair “lied” about WMD in Iraq.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: “Those very same people gave us the official story of 9\/11.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Neil argued most of the time “it turns out c**k-up is a better explanation than conspiracy”<\/span><\/p>\n

The elite must love this guy.
