Making it not so much a factual report as a means of propaganda to impose stricter gun-control laws.<\/h5>\n<h5>The give-away is what it omits to say.<\/h5>\n<h5>The more observant and better-informed will note that there is absolutely no mention of a crucial event earlier this year.<\/h5>\n<h5>At the time Roof had gone into Bath and Body Works store wearing all black and asked &#8220;out of the ordinary questions,&#8221; including how many associates were working, when they closed and what time they leave.<\/h5>\n<h5>Police were called and Roof was found to be in possession of &#8220;suboxone,&#8221; a Schedule 3 narcotic <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.infowars.com\/charleston-shooter-was-on-drug-linked-to-violent-outbursts\/\">linked to violent outbursts<\/a><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.drugs.com\/forum\/featured-conditions\/does-subutex-suboxone-change-personality-48326.html\"> changes in personality<\/a>.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5>Absolutely no mention of that crucial incident in the following report.<\/h5>\n<h5>Put this together with claims from Roof&#8217;s (Black) friends that <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-us-canada-33209654\">he never voiced any &#8220;racist&#8221; opinions<\/a><\/span> and it becomes clear that the real motive behind Roof&#8217;s action was not &#8220;racism&#8221; but a Schedule 3 narcotic.<\/h5>\n<h5>The fact that the following also omits to mention this last point should tell us that the whole event may have been a stage-managed exercise and Roof a mere patsy. He &#8220;almost didn&#8217;t go through with it because everyone was so nice to him,\u201d the sources told NBC News, but ultimately he decided to \u201cgo through with his mission\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">That \u201cmission\u201d and the picture of social dislocation and race hate that apparently drove Roof to mass murder became clearer on Friday as friends and family emerged to describe a deeply troubled young man harbouring white supremacist views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Joseph Meek, a former Middle School friend who had gone on a night of heavy drinking with Roof a few weeks ago, told the Associated Press: &#8220;He said blacks were taking over the world. Someone needed to do something about it for the white race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cHe said he wanted segregation between whites and blacks. I said, &#8216;That&#8217;s not the way it should be.&#8217; But he kept talking about it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Mr Meek added that he had taken away Roof\u2019s .45 calibre Glock pistol that night, but returned the weapon to his friend when he had sobered up the next morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Roof&#8217;s older sister, Amber, was among the first to call police after recognising her brother in surveillance footage. He was arrested in Shelby, four hours drive from Charleston, on Thursday morning following a tip-off from a local florist who recognized his black saloon car.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Miss Roof was scheduled to be married on Sunday and left her job as preschool teacher ahead of the wedding but the ceremony now appears to have been postponed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Chained hand and foot and dressed in a black-and-white striped jumpsuit, Roof was flown back to Charleston where he appeared in court via videolink last night for a brief, but dramatic bail hearing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">There were extraordinary scenes as, one after the other, the sobbing families of the nine victims offered their forgiveness to Roof, whilst expressing their own pain and anger at the loss his actions had inflicted on them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8220;You have killed some of the most beautifulest people that I know. Every fibre in my body hurts and I\u2019ll never be the same,&#8221; said Alecia Sanders, describing her lost 26-year-old son Tywanza as her &#8220;hero&#8221;, adding: &#8220;May God have mercy on you.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Other family members urged Roof to repent, but the young man, his once-floppy hair now greasy and matted, showed no emotion, staring back into the camera flanked by two heavily armed police officers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8220;My family forgive you but we would like to take this opportunity to repent, to confess and give your life to the one who matters the most, Christ,&#8221; said the family of Myra Thompson, 59. &#8220;Do that and you\u2019ll be OK.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In the midst of darkest tragedy, the decency and goodness of the American people shines through in these families. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aYtAKrWwCY\">https:\/\/t.co\/aYtAKrWwCY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; President Obama (@POTUS44) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS44\/status\/611993830980747265?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 19, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As the courtroom filled with the sound of tears, Roof continued to look on impassively. He spoke only to confirm his age and address, and was remanded in custody until his next hearing on October 23.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As public anger deepened over the killings, Nikki Haley, South Carolina\u2019s state governor said that Roof would face the death penalty for carrying out one of the most heinous hate-crimes since the Civil Rights era.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cWe will absolutely want him to have the death penalty,\u201d she told NBC News, \u201cThis is the worst hate that I&#8217;ve seen and the country has seen in a long time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Others sought forgiveness, not vengeance, including the son of one of the victims. \u201cWe forgive, that&#8217;s one thing we are going to do,\u201d said Chris Singleton speaking at a vigil for his mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, a 45-year-old speech therapist and girls&#8217; sports coach at a school in Charleston.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">he transformation of Roof, from quiet loner with a pudding-basin haircut, to a killer capable of premediated mass-murder continued to perplex many of his friends and associates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Antonio Metze, 19, a former High School friend who is black, said: \u201cI never thought he&#8217;d do something like this. He had black friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Another high school friend, John Mullins recalled Roof making \u201cracist slurs\u201d but \u201cnever took them seriously\u201d, again citing Roof\u2019s black schoolfriends. \u201cBut &#8230; maybe they should have been,\u201d he told CNN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Roof had had two run-ins with the police this year, including an alleged drugs offence and an arrest for trespassing, but the family\u2019s lawyer who had worked to defend him on drugs charges also said there were no obvious signs that he could do something so dreadful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cI had no inkling of anything like that in the dealings I had with him,&#8221; Ken Mathews, a south Carolina lawyer who has known the Roof family for many years told <strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2015\/06\/dylann-roofs-attorney\" target=\"_blank\">Mother Jones<\/a><\/strong>. &#8220;The dealings I had with him, he was just a normal kid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Roof\u2019s parents, Ben and Amy Roof, were divorced during his childhood, leaving Dylann the subject of a custody dispute that required legal arbitration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">At Roof&#8217;s father home in Eastover, a two-hour drive north of the scene of the massacre, the door remained closed to visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">An American flag flew over the door of the brown wood, three-bedroom house, which is set in a pleasant clearing among the trees off Garners Ferry Road. The front garden is decorated with a love seat, a tyre swing and a hammock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Across the road at Mr Bunky&#8217;s Market Store, shoppers had watched as police cars came and went from the house.
