I silently pray for them but am relieved when\u00a0they\u00a0go to a `better place.\u00a0I don&#8217;t eat out\u00a0very often, not because of the\u00a0food.\u00a0I object to their business model.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><em>(See below- Response from restaurateurs who thank me for this free therapy.\u00a0)\u00a0<\/em><\/h5>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>by Henry Makow PhD. &#8212; <\/strong><em>(Updated from April 15, 2018)<\/em><\/h2>\n<h5><strong>If I were starting out in life again,<\/strong> I would become a psychologist instead of a writer.<\/h5>\n<h5>I would specialize in the peculiar mental derangement that causes people to open a restaurant. This mania infects thousands.<\/h5>\n<h5>Approximately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehutchinson.com\/blog\/2011\/02\/the-truth-about-restaurant-failure-rates\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">60% of restaurants fail within three years<\/span>.\u00a0<\/a> And no wonder. There are tons of restaurants competing for business.<\/h5>\n<h5>Indeed, restaurants compete with everyone who has a kitchen and a cookbook, which is almost everyone.<\/h5>\n<h5>My cooking is as good as most restaurants.
