Exclusive! Panamza has contacted the mother of Helric Fredou \u2013 the Police Commissioner charged with preparing a report on the family background of Charlie Hebdo \u2013 who was found dead with a bullet in the head just hours after the attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

I asked for the autopsy report and was told: \u201cYou won\u2019t get it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday, January 16, Panamza published the disturbing testimony of the sister of police officer Helric Fredou<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span><\/a> whose mysterious \u201csuicide\u201d continues to be ignored by the national media. Nine days later, it was the mother\u2019s turn to bring new revelations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Fredou\u2019s Mother<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Contacted by the author, she said that at first she was \u201cenormously shocked\u201d that Minister of the Interior Bernard Cazeneuve had not passed her his condolences. The Interior Minister maintained, she said, an excellent relationship with his deceased son. From 2010 to 2012, the two men were brought together to work at Cherbourg, one as deputy mayor of the city, the other in his capacity as chief commissioner. \u201cI hope one day I cross paths with him\u00a0to tell him how very disappointed I was,\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Elysee was also (oddly) unresponsive. Helric Fredou had been\u00a0responsible for \u2013 among other localit\u00e9s \u2013 \u00a0Corr\u00e8ze including Tulle, historic stronghold of Francois Hollande.<\/span><\/p>\n

Panamza will soon return with the\u00a0entirety of her testimony, collected through a telephone interview recorded Saturday, January 24. In the meantime, here are seven key points:<\/span><\/p>\n

* 1 According to the mother of Helric Fredou, police officers with whom she spoke\u00a0expressly advised that she would not have access to the autopsy report. The Code of Criminal Procedure, however, provides that in any case of \u00a0legal autopsy (for suicide or suspicious death), any member of the family can make a request to the prosecutor. \u201cGive it up\u201d\u00a0is the message being\u00a0sent to a bereaved mother who \u201cwants to know the truth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

2 * Helric Fredou\u2019s service weapon was not equipped with a silencer. Her mother has asked a basic question to his colleagues: \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you hear\u00a0anything when he was shot at about midnight?\u201d Laconic reply: \u201cHis office was well insulated.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

3 * According to his mother, Helric Fredou wanted to make\u00a0an important phone call after doing two things: debriefing \u201cthree investigators\u201d who went out to\u00a0question the immediate family of a victim of the attack on Charlie Hebdo (in this case, the relatives of\u00a0Jeannette Bougrab \u2013\u00a0Charb\u2019s self-styled girlfriend \u2013 as was discovered and disclosed \u00a0by Panamza) and then checking \u201csocial networks.\u201d It is at this point that Fredou would have made such an important deduction that he \u201cwanted to keep working.\u201d Important point: the unidentified \u201ccommander\u201d in the office that night \u00a0wanted to take charge of\u00a0debriefing investigators and writing the report, but Fredou insisted \u201cIt\u2019s my job.\u201d The direct superior of Helric Fredou is Gil Friedman, director of the Regional Criminal Police, Limoges.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 * According to police, Helric Fredou raised the barrel of his revolver to his forehead and the bullet remained inside the skull.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 * Helric Fredou\u2019s attending physician, \u00a0with whom his mother spoke Thursday, January 22, refuses to accept the picture\u00a0sketched by the handful of articles about Freidou\u2019s death that\u00a0cited his alleged \u201cdepression\u201d and supposed\u00a0\u201cburn-out\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

* 6 The mother wanted to know who made the last call to her son. Police reportedly retorted \u201cWe\u00a0are unable to say\u201d before finally claiming that no such call had been\u00a0made.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 * \u201cFour Directors\u201d of the police, specifically from Paris, met Helric Fredou\u2019s mother to offer\u00a0condolences and try to convince her that her son was a \u201csuicide\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, another odd fact\u00a0deserves to be reported here: apart from the author of these lines, NO journalist has contacted \u2013 from January 8th onward \u2013 the mother or sister Helric Fredou to\u00a0try to shed light on\u00a0the case.<\/span><\/p>\n
