Note that the following article is based on information supplied by a “paid MI5 informant”. The writers of this Telegraph article admit as much. Given that we know elements in the “security services” have been instrumental in trying to foment conflict between Europe’s indigenous inhabitants and Muslims, it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that the following article is part of the same agenda.<\/h5>\n
So we need to consider whether the word of a paid informant, someone who wins others trust and then betrays them for money, can be entirely trusted? For this article is largely based on information supplied by one of the very same.<\/h5>\n
Regardless of who was behind them, the Paris killings will only heighten tensions between Europe’s indigenous population and its largely immigrant Muslim community.<\/h5>\n
Indeed this article seems intended to do just that and foment further fears; with claims that members of a Muslim extremist group “would kill their own fathers if they caught them smoking or drinking\u201d.<\/h5>\n
It would have readers believe that these are VERY BAD Muslims. So bad in fact that even “Bin Laden distanced himself from them for being too extreme.”<\/h5>\n
That’s the same bin Laden who masterminded the demolition of the World Trade Center from a mountain cave in Afghanistan. Who’s alleged presence in Afghanistan provided the pretext for Western intervention but who miraculously evaded capture<\/span><\/a><\/span> after Western Special Forces surrounded his mountain hide-out.<\/h5>\n
The same bin Laden who was also reputed to be a paid CIA asset<\/span><\/a><\/span> and who died nearly a decade before<\/span><\/a><\/span> his alleged killing in Abbottabad, Pakistan.<\/h5>\n
I’m not going into the mythology surrounding the “terror-mastermind” but suffice to say that we need to be careful in how we look at the recent killings in Paris. Certainly an atrocity took place but like 9\/11, the question of who was really behind the attack and what the intention was has yet to be established. Ed.<\/h5>\n

The security services are probing British links to the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack after it emerged one of the two suspects was mentored by an Abu Hamza lieutenant based at Finsbury Park Mosque.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cherif Kouachi, 32, is a disciple of al-Qaeda lynchpin Djamel Beghal, who allegedly recruited the shoe bomber Richard Reid and Zacarias Moussaoui, the \u201c20th hijacker\u201d in the 9\/11 attacks, at the north London mosque.<\/span><\/p>\n

A former MI5 informant who worked undercover at Finsbury Park Mosque described the Paris shootings as \u201cthe legacy of Abu Hamza\u201d. Hamza will be sentenced on Friday in New York after being convicted last year of 11 charges of instigating terrorist acts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beghal, an Algerian who sometimes calls himself Abou Hamza, after his idol, once boasted that he had set up a vast network of terrorist cells in Britain, as well as in Germany, France and Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Beghal\u2019s web of terrorist cells was thought to have been dismantled after he was arrested in 2001 following allegations of a bomb plot, he recruited Kouachi in prison ten years ago, suggesting he was trying to build a new network.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beghal was released from a ten-year prison sentence in 2010, and investigators will want to establish whether he could have used his long-standing contacts in the UK to set up sleeper cells here.<\/span><\/p>\n

French-Algerian Cherif Kouachi was jailed in 2008 for arranging for jihadists to travel to Iraq. While in prison he met Beghal, who had been jailed for “belonging to a criminal association in relation to a terrorist undertaking”.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the two men were released from prison they remained close, and were photographed by French surveillance officers playing football in April 2010 in Cantal, southern France, with two other convicted terrorists, Ahmed Laidouni, a jihadi recruiter, and Farid Melouk, an Algerian member of the GIA terror group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beghal was described as \u201ca constant presence\u201d at Finsbury Park Mosque for two years in the late 1990s, when it was the base of Abu Hamza. He is said to have been particularly close to Abu Qatada, the Jordanian \u201cspiritual leader\u201d of al-Qaeda\u2019s European operations in the 1990s, who was extradited back to Jordan in 2013 following a lengthy legal fight to stay in UK.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reda Hassaine, who worked as a paid MI5 informant inside Finsbury Park mosque in the late 1990s and early 2000s, said Beghal was a familiar figure there at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He was closer to Abu Qatada than to Abu Hamza,” said Mr Hassaine.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He definitely had connections with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I believe he lived outside London at the time but he was regularly seen at the mosque and at the coffee shops around Finsbury Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There is no doubt that you can see the influence of their teachings in him.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Their warped view of the world has filtered down through him to a new generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“What happened in Paris was the legacy of Abu Qatada and Abu Hamza.<\/span><\/p>\n

“A completely new generation, who have never met these people in London, have learned their ideology indirectly and are now willing to die in jihad.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Beghal, 50, is known to have been a member of Takfir-wal-Hijra, a puritanical extremist group financed by Osama bin Laden before Bin Laden distanced himself from them for being too extreme, as it regarded non-extremist Muslims as \u201cinfidels\u201d who are legitimate targets. In a court case in the UK Beghal was once described as being so extreme that Bin Laden considered him “beyond the pale”.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time of the 9\/11 attacks in 2001, Beghal was suspected by European intelligence agencies of being the man chosen by al-Qaeda to open a terror front in Europe, beginning with the planned suicide attack on the US Embassy in Paris.<\/span><\/p>\n

After he was arrested at Dubai airport in July 2001, Beghal told his interrogators he would travel around Britain in the late 1990s recruiting young Muslims for jihad. Even among the many extremists who congregated at Finsbury Park Mosque, he was regarded as one of the most dangerous.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMembers of this group would kill their own fathers if they caught them smoking or drinking,\u201d said one moderate Algerian who met him.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day after the 9\/11 attacks, the police in Belgium and the Netherlands raided addresses linked to Beghal, smashing terrorist cells planning a series of attacks on prominent targets later in the year. Beghal admitted that cells he had set up in Britain, Germany, France and Spain were planning attacks on US targets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the planned attacks was a plot to kill President Bush and other G8 leaders by crashing an airliner into the G8 summit in Genoa.<\/span><\/p>\n

In November 2013 anti-extremist think tank HOPE not Hate revealed the French secret service had planned to assassinate Abu Hamza due to fears his radical preaching would influence Algerians to commit terror attacks in France.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a report on the banned terror group al-Muhajiroun, which had strong ties to Hamza, its author Nick Lowles wrote: “One plot hatched by French intelligence that has, until now, not previously come to light, was the idea of assassinating Abu Hamza in London.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The plan was to impersonate the British Nazi group Combat 18 and then allow them to take the blame.<\/span><\/p>\n

“In the immediate aftermath of the London nail-bombings, the French considered sending death threats in the style of C18 and then killing him with the same type of weaponry that the group was thought to possess.<\/span><\/p>\n

“However, as with the kidnap plan, the assassination attempt was aborted and it is unclear how advanced the planning of either idea progressed.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In the build-up to the 1998 World Cup in France, said Mr Lowles: \u201cAngered by the inaction of Special Branch and MI5 in the UK, there was serious talk of [the French] taking matters into their own hands.<\/span><\/p>\n

“[Hamza] would be nabbed on the street, forced into the back of a van and then driven to Dover and snuck on to a French ferry.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is also known that a team of assassins from Draco, a DGSE unit, was considering taking out senior terrorists.”<\/span><\/p>\n
