Introduction — July 30, 2014<\/h1>\n

\"Scenes<\/a>Let’s not kid ourselves, Israel is committing War Crimes. These are not errors or oversights as some of its defenders claim.<\/h5>\n
Israel is deliberately and repeatedly targeting UN schools housing displaced civilians, refugee compounds and hospitals. These are War Crimes and they are being committed with the aid of the Western media.<\/h5>\n
For example, the report below is straightforward enough but I had to change the headline. Because the original headline asked: “Did UN warn Israel SEVENTEEN times that bombed school was housing refugees?”<\/h5>\n
Reading the article itself it’s pretty obvious that there is no question about it. The IDF was indeed informed no less than SEVENTEEN times that the UN run school housed displaced civilians.<\/h5>\n
However, the Daily Mail’s editors in London decided to pose the question “Did UN warn Israel SEVENTEEN TIMES…”, which helps divert attention from Israel’s obvious culpability. Until you start reading the article, of course.<\/h5>\n
Much of the Western media’s coverage is similarly slanted. Like the Mail’s headline, much of it subtly deflects the attention of the casual observer from Israel’s blame. But can you imagine how it would be if things were the other way round? If over 1200 Israelis were now dead and nearly sixty Palestinians had been killed, all but three of them of them combatants?<\/h5>\n
Can you imagine the outcry? The Western media would be in uproar filled, no doubt, with editorials demanding the U.S. and Britain aid Israel militarily.<\/h5>\n
As it is the U.S. is already aiding Israel to the tune of billions every year<\/span><\/a><\/span>. While British Prime Minister David Cameron has rejected criticism of Operation Protective Edge on the grounds that “Israel has a right to defend itself<\/span><\/a><\/span>“.<\/h5>\n

Looking at the mounting casualties among Palestinian civilians however, one wonders whether Israel is actually defending itself or exacting retribution?<\/h5>\n
Meanwhile, Israel’s latest atrocity came when its warplanes struck a market filled with hundreds of Palestinians <\/span><\/a><\/span>buying food on Wednesday. At least 16 Palestinians were reported killed. The attack on the market came DURING A FOUR HOUR TRUCE declared by the IDF.<\/h5>\n

Israel Warned SEVENTEEN Times That School it Shelled Housed Civilian Refugees<\/h1>\n

Israel was warned no fewer than 17 times that a school it destroyed with tank strikes killing 16 Palestinians and injuring 125 others had been housing refugees, the UN claimed today.<\/span><\/p>\n

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said children were killed as they slept next to their parents on the floor of a classroom in the Jabaliya refugee camp when shells smashed into the complex overnight.<\/span><\/p>\n

UNRWA Commissioner-General Pierre Kr\u00e4henb\u00fchl said it was the sixth time one of the organisation’s schools had been struck by Israeli bombardments during the 23-day conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a furious response to the attack, he said: ‘This is an affront to all of us, a source of universal shame. Today, the world stands disgraced.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘We know that there were multiple civilian deaths and injuries including of women and children and the UNRWA guard who was trying to protect the site.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘These are people who were instructed to leave their homes by the Israeli army.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘The precise location of the Jabalia Elementary Girls School and the fact that it was housing thousands of internally displaced people was communicated to the Israeli army seventeen times to ensure its protection – the last being at 8.50pm last night, just hours before the fatal shelling.’<\/span><\/p>\n
