A protestor at the Eiffel Tower holds signs saying “Everyone is born to a man and a woman” and “Difference is the key to existence”, (left). Crowds numbering 340,000 descended on the Eiffel Tower on January 13th, to oppose a law legalizing gay marriage, which came into effect in June.
