There is a strong marine influence on the 2013 Nuits Saint Georges les Boudots that infuse the very focused, mineral-driven, black bilberry and blackberry fruit. The palate is very intense and with great body and presence. Supple tannins make an immediate impression however, it is the weight of the fruit that really comes across with a dash of white pepper on the long peacock’s tail finish. This Boudots is endowed with immense complexity and ambition. Superb.
