Terrorists Behind The War On Terror

In a despotic regime the greatest the greatest power is a lie. Other ruthless measures come later to defend each lie. Musharraff overthrew Pakistan’s elected prime minister with a lie, he convicted him of treason with a lie and then kept on lying to the nation, most recently about Benazir Bhutto`s murder.
Terrorists Lash Out
After her murder Pakistan has been literally handed over to criminals. Today teenagers led by persons unknown forcibly closed local shops at a nearby market. A police car was there on the spot, I asked the policemen as to why they didn’t stop them? He said, "We are ordered not to interrupt the 'protest' being carried out".
It was a very sad statement but not astonishing after witnessing eight years of Musharraf`s rule. In Karachi an even worse situation has developed. Like other parts of the country police have locked themselves into police stations. The Internet went down across the whole country when unknown people cut off the fibre cable. Given this all seems to be pre-planned, for how many ordinary people know where the underground fibre cables are?
Throughout the country more than a thousand vehicles and around six hundred shops have been set ablaze. Bursts of automatic weapons can be heard. It is the same country where Musharraf banned public ownership of firearms some years ago. This embargo was meant for a day like today when the ordinary people have been left vulnerable to criminals, with nothing with which to defend them or their families.
At this moment of anarchy the only safe zones are cantonment areas where the military men and their families are enjoying relative calm and peace, away from the general turbulence.
Lies of the Musharraf Cabal
Several reports about the cause of Benazir`s murder have emerged. First it was said she died with the bomb blast, later it was reported that she was hit by bullets fired by her killer. After that the spokesman at the interior ministry, Brigadier Javed Iqbal Cheema told a very elaborate story; he claimed that Bhutto did not die of the bullet fired by terrorists or shrapnel but of a wound caused when she hit her head on one of the levers of the ‘sunroof’ of the vehicle through which she had emerged to waive to the cheering supporters.
Today, one of the closest companion and spokeswoman of Benazir Sherry Rehman who was among those ladies who bathed Benazir for the funeral said: "There was a bullet wound I saw that went in from the back of her head and came out the other side."
Who Killed Her?
The question is buzzing around the world but not in Pakistan is “who killed her”. In Pakistan it is already decided, you walk into the streets and find people saying, "It is him, Musharraf who killed Benazir".
In a video of the blast and immediate aftermath, posted on a newspaper website, a man can be heard shouting, and abusing Musharraf.
A journalist Syed Saleem Shehzad of Karachi, who according to some happens to be a mouthpiece of the CIA, called journalists in Islamabad and told them that he had received a phone call from Al Qaeda claiming responsibility of Bhutto’s killing.
Bearing in mind that Shehzad has been exposed as highly suspect before, he went on to claim that Pakistani tribal dissident Baitullah Mehsud was responsible for Bhutto’s murder.
But what a coincidence! The next day the very same statement came from Brigadier Cheema.
According to Brigadier Cheema:
"She (Benazir Bhutto) was on the hit list of al-Qaeda. We have intelligence intercepts indicating that al-Qaeda leader Baitullah Mehsud is behind her assassination. We just have an intelligence intercept that was recorded this morning in which Baitullah Mehsud congratulated his people for carrying out this cowardly act."
Brigadier Cheema then played the intercept as Bin Laden's tapes have been touted as evidence of his involvement in terror attacks.
According to Brigadier Cheema: "We have irrefutable evidence that al-Qaeda, its network and its cohorts are trying to destabilize Pakistan which is in the forefront of war against terrorism. They are systematically targeting our state institutions in order to destabilize the country."
"The suicide bomber was on the left side of the vehicle. When she was waiving, three shots were fired but none hit her. Then there was a blast as the suicide bomber exploded himself. With the pressure of shockwave Benazir Bhutto fell down and tried to duck down into the vehicle. When she was ducking down and was thrown by the force of shockwave, unfortunately one of the levers on the left side of the sunroof hit her on her right side which caused a fracture in her skull and that caused her death,"
But today Benazir`s spokeswoman Sherry Rehman said referring to the above claims of Musharraf cabal,
"This is ridiculous, dangerous and nonsense because it is a cover-up of what actually happened,"
On the other hand in the City of Dera Ismael Khan, an area adjacent to the tribal belt, recorded CDs were distributed containing the message of Baitullah Mehsud who denied the accusation.
Moreover his spokesman Maulvi Omer made a call to the press. He said, "We did not have any dispute with Benazir, she was a woman and we have very strong tribal traditions; we don’t kill women."
Conclusion
As Benazir Bhutto’s spokeswoman, Sherry Rehman said, Bhutto got a bullet on back of her head, another in her neck and a third in her back. Yet in the immediate aftermath of Bhutto’s killing police did not seal off the crime scene for forensic investigation. Instead fire trucks actually hosed down the area where Bhutto was killed, almost as if they were trying to wash away any forensic evidence that might incriminate the guilty.
But then that is par for the course for the Musharraf cabal, who will keep on lying till the end of their regime or the disintegration of the country, which may indeed have been the ultimate aim behind Bhutto’s assassination.
