“Will I still have my job after Bush leaves? Of course. I am a professional and not a political appointee. Civil Service can be satisfying!
I notice that the rebellious workers in Chicago who physically took control over some factory, won their point. I personally think that this was, potentially, a very, very dangerous situation all around.
Not the incident itself, of course, but the implications of it.
Basically, it was mob rule. Civilized and understood it was and, more dangerous, supported by local politicians and the strange governor now under arrest.
But, mark me that there will be more and more workers emboldened by the success of the Chicago sit-ins and this will, for a certainty, become a very powerful and very dangerous political weapon in the future.
Face it, friends, the economy is now imploding or more accurately, shrinking back to its normal dimensions.
Of course, America needs more manufacturing jobs but until we stop buying cheap, and in the case of the Chinese, contaminated, junk, the work will remain offshore with what is essentially slave labor. Does the word ‘tariff’ mean anything to you? Look it up, kids. I say ’Buy American’ and for the Lord God’s sake, do not ever
eat any food products labeled ‘Made in China.”
A political statement? No, an advertisement of known serious, and often fatal, health hazards. In short, do not buy any food product made in China or be prepared to have kidney or liver failure from the noxious chemicals that permeate all, not the word here, all, Chinese food products from fish to meat and milk products.
Buy American and live!
And as to the labor problems coming down the road, the very, very obvious attitudes of certain Congressmen to “bust” the American labor movement, this is bad for our economy , kids, very bad and I am not a union man.
If these fascists were to be successful, wages of American workers would rival those of Communist China. Maybe we should ban foreign car assembly plants in this country as harmful to the American work force.
