Car Bombs Found in London

Just as Gordon Brown assumes office as prime minister the spectre of terror returns to haunt the streets of London.

In the early hours of Friday, June 29, a massive car bomb with the potential to cause widespread damage was found in the capital's West End.

The bomb was found outside Tiger Tiger, a nightclub in Haymarket where up to 1,700 people were partying at a 'ladies night'.

Early mainstream media reports immediately pinned the blame on Al Qaeda militants, who are alleged to have plotted a similar attack on the capital's Ministry of Sound nightclub and Bluewater shopping centre.

The alarm was raised around 2am Friday morning and the immediate area around the vehicle was cordoned off while explosives officers investigated.

Officials claim the car bomb was a 'big device' which was potentially only minutes away from killing a 'significant number' of people.


Just like the events of 7/7 however, conflicting reports are already beginning to emerge.

Quoting British anti-terror police chief Peter Clarke, Forbes website reports that the alarm was raised by an ambulance crew who were responding to a call just before 1:30 a.m. about a person who had fallen at a Haymarket nightclub. They raised the alarm after noticing smoke coming from a car parked in front of the nightclub.

In contrast the Daily Mail initially reported that security staff called the police after a silver Mercedes appeared to swerve and come to a halt beside some bins next to the nightclub at around 1:30 am. The driver then stepped out and walked away after which security staff became suspicious and alerted police.

However, hours after that report first appeared it was removed and replaced with an article entitled 'Islamic website predicted London bomb hours before attack on nightclub', before that too was replaced with "Second car bomb found in London's Park Lane".

All of which points to one of two things: either an attempt at a coordinated terror attack. Or a carefully staged managed false flag operation conducted with the assistance of a compliant mainstream media.

Inside the Mercedes in the Haymarket police claim they found at least 60 litres of petrol in various sized containers. Alongside the petrol the boot was also reported to have been packed with hundreds of nails.

All of which amounts to a lethal device, on the face of things.

However, while the mainstream media promoted the official version of events without question, independent Internet media commentators responded differently. From Propaganda Matrix, which pointed out that British MI5 Had Hand In Previous Car Bombings to the more forthright Larry C Johnson, the Internet's independent commentators dismissed the official version of events.

Nonetheless, 'terror experts' quoted by the mainstream media agreed that the car and its contents had the potential to cause massive loss of life. But the question of who was really behind this latest "terror" scare remains wide open.

Was it 'Al Qaeda' militants as officials and the mainstream media claim? Or was this an attempted 'false flag' by covert elements in Britain's security services to ramp up public fear and apprehension in the run-up to further military action in the Middel East?

Or was this an attempt to prepare the ground for more stringent "anti-terror" laws?

If nothing else it was an amazing coincidence. Gordon Brown, who had earlier announced his intention to get draconian new “anti terror” laws passed through Parliament, assumes office as Prime Minister and within days a huge car bomb is discovered in central London. Fortunately it does not explode but it should give him the necessary leverage to pass such legislation.

And if it doesn't expect more such incidents to occur in the weeks and months ahead.
