High Technology in our Ancient Past?

In 1991-93 gold prospectors on the river Narada in the eastern Urals, found thousands of unusual spiral shaped objects. Ranging in size from 1.2 inches to 1/10,000 of an inch they were often microscopically small. Significantly they were found at various sites near the rivers Narada, Kozhim and Balbanyu at depths of 10 to 40 foot. At such depths investigators could only conclude that they had been deposited thousands of years ago.

At present they are being investigated by the Russian Academy of Science in Moscow and St Petersburg and at a scientific institute in Helsinki, Finland. Stranger still, exact measurements of the objects show them to conform to the so-called ‘Golden Mean’ ratio used in Architecture and Geometry. For the technically minded that means that if a certain length is divided into two using this ratio, the ratio of the original length to the larger piece is the same as that of the larger to the smaller.

Quite apart from such subtle anomalies they appear to be the product of a highly advanced technology. In fact they bear a remarkable resemblance to control elements used in micro-miniature devices used in the latest technology, so-called nano-technology. Although still in its infancy scientists and engineers are already thinking are already thinking of applications for the ‘new’ technology that are the stuff of science fiction. Amongst other things they envisage constructing micro probes for use in medicine, such as performing operations inside blood vessels that are currently not possible with present surgical techniques.

All test carried out so far have dated the objects at between 20,000 and 318,000 years old, depending on the depth and location of the find.
