Mossad and 911

The idea that Bin Laden was not behind the events of September 11th may seem at odds with the spin coming from the mainstream media. But there is in fact a growing amount of evidence, largely ignored by the press, which shows that this is precisely the case. Moreover it has even been suggested that what occurred on September 11th was an attempt by Mossad combined with elements in the U.S. Air Force to engineer a coup. Admittedly that may sound a little far-fetched but the facts themselves speak otherwise.

As does General Hameed Gul, a man who was in a position to know. The one time director general of the Pakistani Intelligence Services ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) was a former associate of Bin Laden and worked closely with him and the CIA during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Formerly a great supporter of the “American way of life” and “democracy” the General has now disavowed his support because of what he describes as America’s “betrayal” and countless “broken promises.”

According to General Gul the real perpetrators behind the September 11 attacks were not those touted by the mainstream media. “The U.S. spends $40 billion a year on its 11 intelligence agencies,” says General Gul. “That's $400 billion in 10 years. Yet the Bush Administration says it was taken by surprise. I don't believe it. Within 10 minutes of the second twin tower being hit in the World Trade Center CNN said Osama bin Laden had done it. That was a planned piece of disinformation by the real perpetrators. It created an instant mindset and put public opinion into a trance, which prevented even intelligent people from thinking for themselves.”

So who were the real culprits?


“Mossad and its accomplices,” says General Gul.

When pressed by Arnaud de Borchgrave, United Press International editor at large, as to why he thought Bin Laden wasn’t behind the Sept 11th attacks, General Gul remained adamant. “From a cave inside a mountain or a peasant's hovel? Let's be serious, Osama inspires countless millions by standing up for Islam against American and Israeli imperialism. He doesn't have the means for such a sophisticated operation.

“Mossad and its American associates are the obvious culprits,” he continued. “Who benefits from the crime? The attacks against the twin towers started at 8:45 a.m. and four flights are diverted from their assigned air space and no air traffic controller sounds the alarm. And no Air Force jets scramble until 10 a.m. That also smacks of a small scale Air Force rebellion, a coup against the Pentagon perhaps? Radars are jammed, transponders fail. No IFF – Identification: Friend or Foe? -- challenge.

“In Pakistan, if there is no response to IFF, jets are instantly scrambled and the aircraft is shot down with no further questions asked. This was clearly an inside job. Bush was afraid and rushed to the shelter of a nuclear bunker. He clearly feared a nuclear situation. Who could that have been? Will that also be hushed up in the investigation, like the Warren report after the Kennedy assassination?”

To underline General Gul’s claim it should be noted that dozens of US Air Force and Air National Guard bases are located within 10 to 30 minutes intercept time of the September 11th target locations. Most of these installations have fighter jets ready at a moments notice to be scrambled and to intercept just such errant aircraft. None were.

However Air Traffic Controllers did indeed alert air defence units on the morning of September 11th that several jets had broken communications and deviated radically from established flight paths. But again nothing was done, this despite the fact that Standard Intercept Procedures exist for just such a contingency and are in force 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The fact that no jets were scrambled until 10 a.m. has left some wondering whether air defence units were actually ordered not to intercept. And it wasn’t just air force interceptors that failed to respond. Anti aircraft defences and surface to air missiles that also guard the skies above New York and the Pentagon were both noticeably absent on September 11th.

Underscoring Gen. Gul’s contention it has been revealed that in the aftermath of September 11th a massive Israeli spy operation was uncovered in the U.S. As the dust settled on the World Trade Center ruins Fox News correspondent Carl Cameron reported that more than sixty Israelis had been arrested. They were not suspected of any involvement in the September 11th attacks BUT it is suspected that they knew of impending attacks beforehand. Crucially they didn’t share this intelligence with their U.S. counterparts. In other words they simply allowed the September 11th attacks to happen.

One group of Israelis is thought to have kept an apartment in California to spy on a group of Arabs who are currently being investigated for suspected involvement in the September 11th attacks. Another group of 5 Israelis, all of military age, were arrested on a New York rooftop after they were seen videotaping the burning World Trade Centre and cheering. While yet another group of 5 Israelis was arrested on a New Jersey turnpike eight hours after the towers collapsed. Again they weren’t suspected of any terrorist involvement but according to sources close to the investigation they seemed to have an unusual interest in the attacks. “There are maps of the city in the car with certain places highlighted,” the source said. “It looked like they're hooked in with this. It looked like they knew what was going to happen…”

The FBI’s alert reads in part: “Three individuals with van were seen celebrating after initial impact and subsequent explosion. FBI Newark Field Office requests. . . hold for prints and detain individuals.”

All the Israelis were subsequently released and returned to Israel; but crucially the mainstream media has largely ignored these reports and even Fox News, which initially carried the reports, has subsequently deleted the stories from their website.

Still the media ignored an even bigger story in the aftermath of September 11th. Or at least the Western news media did, but for a few days it was the lead news item in Mexico. On Wednesday October 11th two men of athletic build were apprehended inside the Mexican Congress building in Mexico City. A delegation of 60 sugar cane workers was also visiting the Congress that same day and as the two photographed them one of the workers challenged them aggressively.

“Why are you taking pictures of us fucker?” he asked.

At which point they turned away but as they did so one of the photographer’s jackets accidentally opened, exposing a 9mm Glock automatic pistol. The two continued as if nothing had happened but another sugarcane worker shouted: “I see you’re packing a gun, carbon.” At which point, according to accounts in the Mexican press, the room erupted in commotion as the workers fell upon the photographers and alerted security guards.

Both men were not only armed with sophisticated Glock automatics; they were also carrying hand grenades and a brief case full of explosive and moreover both were former members of the Israeli Army. All of which has led some Mexicans to wonder whether they were actually preparing to bomb the Mexican Congress. And if indeed they were planning to bomb the Mexican Congress it has been suggested that they planned to do so the following day, October 12th. Because Mexico celebrates Columbus Day every October 12th and a bombing then would have been highly symbolic: in effect a blow against Western civilization.

The initial arrests of the two Israelis inside the Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro made top news on Mexico City television and radio on the evening of October 11th. However following intense pressure from Israel the Mexican authorities released both men and they returned to Israel. But perhaps the most telling aspect of this story is the fact that the news media in the rest of the Western world has conspicuously ignored it.

Naturally you may object that Israel would never attack its staunchest ally; but the fact is that it already has. During the 1967 Arab Israeli war the USS Liberty, an American intelligence gathering ship, was sailing in international waters monitoring Israeli troop movements. Maybe the Israelis felt threatened by the surveillance, but for whatever reason Israeli jets and torpedo boats attacked the Liberty for a full 75 minutes, killing 34 American sailors and wounding 171. The Israelis were later to claim that they had mistaken the American vessel for an Egyptian one. Significantly though, when four US fighter jets from a nearby aircraft carrier came to the Liberty’s aid they were ordered by US Defense Secretary Robert McNamara not to intervene and turn back.

Or consider Operation Northwoods; this 1962 CIA proposal included plans to shoot down a CIA plane masquerading as a passenger flight and then announce that Cuban forces shot it down; the creation of military casualties by blowing up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and once again blaming Cuba. The casualty lists in the US newspapers would, along with a carefully orchestrated terror campaign, have fuelled a wave of national indignation. Which in turn would have helped garner support for a US invasion of Castro’s Cuba.

All of which only goes to show that history has a habit of repeating itself.
