Third World immigrants into Britain are responsible for the overwhelming majority of British unemployed benefit seekers in many areas, a new study has shown. The figures, which confirm the intolerable burden which immigration has placed on the benefits system in Britain, mirrors the situation in other European countries such as the Netherlands where 60 percent of benefits users are Third World immigrants.
According to the new report, issued by MigrationwatchUK, the “relationship between immigration and youth unemployment is positive and significant in those areas that have experienced the highest rates of immigration.”
According to Migrationwatch, in the “case of those local authorities outside London with the highest proportion of immigrants, the relationship is very strong showing that for every one thousand immigrants into these areas, on average, the number of youth unemployed rises by around 900.”
Sir Andrew Green, Chairman of Migrationwatch UK, said in a press release that "People have tiptoed around this issue for far too long. Many factors contribute to youth unemployment but this research suggests that immigration is a significant factor.”
The report said that “youth unemployment is an important and growing social and economic problem.
“Unemployment of 18 – 24 year olds is currently running at more than twice the overall unemployment rate (17.5 percent compared with 7.8 percent), with 724,000 unemployed. A quarter of young people without a job have been unemployed for more than 12 months.
“The employment rate for young people is also strikingly lower (at 59 percent) than the overall rate of employment.”
The Migrationwatch report then quoted from the April 2008 House of Lords report on the economic impacts of immigration which said that “youth unemployment has increased by about 100,000 since early 2004 and the participation rate has dropped from 69.4 percent to 67.4 percent.”
In other words, the empirical evidence is clear: large numbers of Third World immigrants are not “contributing to economic activity” or “keeping the welfare state afloat through taxes” but are in fact making the problem worse.Other evidence of the impact of Third World immigration in London can be found in the book

In the chapter dealing with Britain, that book reports: “Unemployment in inner London is almost twice the national average — 7.1 percent compared with 3.6 percent in the UK. In addition, some 42.1 percent of children in inner London are eligible for free school meals. This compares with an average of 15.8 percent of children nationally.
“In December 2001, 10 of the 25 Parliamentary constituencies with the highest unemployment rates in the UK were in London. London is, says the Association of London Government, home to more unemployed people than any other region in the UK and more than the combined total of Scotland and Wales.
“According to a report released by the office of the mayor of London in November 2002, more than half the 600,000 children living in inner London are being brought up below the government’s official poverty line.
“According to this report, 30 percent of inner London’s working age adults are already below the poverty line. The mayor of London’s own report on poverty in the capital points out that poverty is highest among ethnic minority groups, with 73 percent of Pakistani and Bangladeshi children and 55 percent of black children living in poverty.
