Iran Attack Still in the Balance

We have it from a reliable psychic friend that if the world had heard Ahmadinejad’s address at the U.N. conference on Monday then war might just be avoided: the operative word being might.

Or, alternatively Israel may be motivated to attack sooner rather than later.

Either way we are advised that things are very much up in the air.

Almost as if someone had realized where an attack would lead and wasn’t able to make a final decision.

Certainly there are elements in Israel that are pushing for war. Just as there are factions in the U.S. military-industrial complex that want war, if only to kick-start the economy and lift us out of the economic downturn.

But time is running out and with each passing week the delivery of the crucial S-300 missile system draws closer.

The potent Russian missile system will make it nigh on impossible for Israel to strike Iran on its own. It will also make a U.S. led strike on Iran that much more costly. But although the sale is agreed, the S-300 has yet to be delivered and installed.

So an attack on Iran still hangs in the balance.

Meanwhile Israeli criticism of Iran and Ahmadinejad grows ever more strident. In the latest blast, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Silvan Shalom used Auschwitz itself as a backdrop to deliver a scathing condemnation on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Standing in front of the camp’s wrought iron gate Shalom said Ahmadinejad was advocating a Nazi-style extermination of the Jews.

“What Iran is trying to do right now is not far away at all from what Hitler did to the Jewish people just 65 years ago”, said Mr Shalom.

Of course, it was pure theatrics and anyone who had listened to Ahmadinejad’s speech in Geneva would have differed. For without mentioning “Jews” or “Israel” and with only a couple of references to “Zionism”, he simply outlined some self-evident historical truths.

At which point the Zionists became hysterical and the toady European diplomatic delegates dutifully trooped out of the conference hall in protest.

Which leads us back to where we started.

As we’ve outlined, preparations have been made and plans drawn up for an attack but a final decision has yet to be made.

So although military conflict is still a real possibility, when it begins and what will trigger it remains to be seen.

It’s a heady mix.

On the one hand we have a hard line Israeli government that seems intent on conflict with Iran. Headed by a man who described 9/11 as “good” for Israel; whose deputy foreign minister says Iran must be reined in and whose Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman says America “accepts all our decisions”, as if Israel controlled Washington.

While you have a U.S. vice president who is an avowed Zionist and a president who seems no less beholden to Israel. Together with a mainstream media that is largely Zionist owned and controlled.

In contrast you have a confident and well-armed Iran backed by Moscow with the promise of more advanced weaponry to come.

However there is a new element that didn’t exist in previous decades: the Internet. Together with websites like this you have a western public who are increasingly exposed to views other than those paraded by the Zionist controlled mainstream media.

Add to that the growing number of “rebel Jews” who don’t buy into Zionism and are ready to speak out and you have an increasingly volatile mix.

Meanwhile we await word from our psychic friend and when it comes through we will relay it on.

Update – April 24, 2009

New information suggests Israel planned launching a surprise air strike on Iran with the intention of taking out the greater part of its air force. According to Press TV, the Israelis aimed to take out large parts of the Iranian Air Force as it assembled for an air display near Tehran.

However, the plan fell through when the air show was cancelled at the last moment. Although the Iranians claimed this was due to “bad weather” there have been suggestions that Russia tipped off Iran after its spy satellites spotted an unusual amount of activity at Israeli air bases as preparations were made for the attack.

The Israeli attack was reportedly scheduled for April 17.

If true, it means our psychic friend was correct but the Israeli’s plan fell through. That being the case however, it doesn’t mean that they won’t try again.
