Although NOT a genuine terrorist group, Al Qaeda has a history.
Just as Lord Cromer (Evelyn Baring 1841-1917), created the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1890s, the CIA created Al-Qaeda in the 1980s in Afghanistan. Afghanistan was Russia’s Vietnam–the long exhausting war leading to the collapse of the USSR.
THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY CONTROL US, UK AND ISRAEL create phony enemies (like Al Qaeda) in order to wage war against controlled opposition. How can you lose when you control your own enemy?
Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook in 2004 told the House of Commons: “Al Qaeda” is not really a terrorist group but a database of international mujaheddin and arms smugglers used by the CIA and Saudis to funnel guerrillas, arms, and money into Soviet-occupied Afghanistan. AL-QAEDA was never anything more.”
In a column for the Guardian July 9, 2005, four weeks before his death, Cook said Al-Qaeda was an instrument of western intelligence: “Bin Laden was, a product of a monumental miscalculation by Western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally “the database”, was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujaheddin who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.”
“The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism…The country behind this propaganda is the US . . .” -
The ‘War on Terror’ paradigm eliminates the well established protocols of war and peace: now we have an enemy without a military; an evil nemesis without a face. Robin Cook said too much and paid the price. On August 6, 2005, he was dead, suffering a “heart attack” while hiking with his wife.
This is reminiscent of the 2003 murder of Dr. David Kelly, a British weapons expert who also challenged the Iraq War rationale.
