Russian FM: Iran won’t use nuclear weapon against Israel

News Commentary – News Oct 11, 2012

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin on Thursday that Moscow does not believe Iran will use a nuclear weapon against Israel.
“Thus far it has not been proven with certainty that Iran is trying to develop a nuclear weapon,” Lavrov said in Moscow.
“Given Israel’s demographic makeup which includes millions of Arabs and Muslims, the Islamic Republic will not attack Israel,” he explained.
We think Sergey Lavrov’s assurance is based on more than ‘Israel’s demographic makeup’ however. Indeed, we believe Russia’s foreign minister is privy to the same information that we are.
Although the sources may be different, what they are saying changes the complexion of the current face-off between Iran and the West entirely.
It also means that the Israeli leadership know this too and the current song-and-dance they are performing over the threat Iran poses IF it develops nuclear weapons is simply a ruse. The objective being to persuade the West to step in militarily and neutralise the Islamic Republic, as it once did with Iraq.
This is beyond Israel’s ability because, according to our information, IRAN ALREADY HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!!
Our source is a very reliable psychic friend who predicted the invasion of Iraq by Western powers AFTER the first Gulf War. He also predicted that this would lead to a much bigger conflict with Iran.
So why hasn’t Iran publicly declared its possession of nuclear weapons? Why, like Israel, is Iran being so secretive about its possession of them?
Because, officially at least, the Ayatollah Khamenei has declared, “the production, possession, use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is illegitimate, futile, harmful, dangerous and prohibited as a great sin.”
Nonetheless, nuclear weapons are being kept by Iran as a necessary evil: an insurance policy to prevent an Israeli attack.
This is what Lavrov’s assurance is based upon: he knows Iran already has nuclear weapons but hasn’t publicly flaunted them or threatened Israel with them. They are simply being kept to deter an Israeli nuclear strike on Iran.
Given that neighbouring Pakistan and India have both developed their own nuclear weapons, this isn’t such an outlandish idea. Nor is this technically beyond the ability of Iranian scientists, who’ve made considerable headway in other fields recently.
The fact that the corporate Western media hasn’t even hinted at such a possibility only adds weight to this. After all, the corporate media is largely used by Western intelligence to disseminate disinformation, the endless press coverage given to Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction being a case in point.
Although they were entirely non-existent, the boundless media specualtion given to ‘Saddam’s WMD’ helped pave the way for the invasion of Iraq.
So the last thing you’ll find in the Western media is news that might militate against imposing sanctions, or even going to war against Iran. After all, why take action to prevent something happening when it is already an established fact?
