    A good interview which I need to watch again to take it all in. It was interesting what she said about the locations of riots in the US, and how when the destruction is mapped it’s looks less about how rioting naturally progresses across a landscape, and more like a plan for real estate acquisition for rich people like Bezos. In one tax break if the rich keep their capital gains moving, usually by buying up properties instead of letting it rest in accounts, they’re excused CG tax on it. The money they get to keep is so big they can buy swathes of property to invest in and work with – owning boroughs and districts essentially – if only there was enough property available for all that tax-free money. Riot damage can provide the property.

    Very sober and ‘accounting clinical’ matter of fact ‘diagnosis’ of global radical developments recently and currently unfolding, in a self evidently convincing Frank but artilulate laymens language. Several moments leave a physical notable… Shudder… The profound implications so obvious more impacting when so subtly and casually stated unsensationally…! Thanks Catherine very grateful.
