Italy’s Multicultural Miracle Town

Irish Savant – June 10, 2019

It was the Town-Where-Multiculturalism-Works, the ultimate Global Village. “This [picture on left] is a daily scene in Riace: two kids from Ethiopia are playing with local kids. They are grown in Italy, they speak a fluent Italian, they speak also English and their homeland language. Riace calls itself a Global Village, whose residents come from more than 20 countries beyond Europe.”

Riace in happier times. Click to enlarge

“Riace was rundown and very poor. The town’s economy was rescued by the migrants’ arrival: the projects generate jobs, the property rentals support individual families and the turnover in the local shops has grown. About 60 original inhabitants are employed on the projects. External money has been pouring into this small economy: the benefit payments represent the largest investment ever made in it. And, to top it all, mayor Lucano is now world famous. His brave stand and his insistence on telling us about it has meant that, among other things, he made the list of the 50 most important politicians in the world, drawn up by the business magazine Fortune. Celebrities from all over the place have visited Riace.”
“Some months ago, the association offered a beginners’ course in Italian but now the staff are focused on helping with practical things such as medical appointments, problems with finding somewhere to live, benefit payments and legal aid applications. Dotted around the old town, there are several other similar workshops, all of them financed through project funding. The workshops are just about the only business activities I come across, with a few others such as a partly shut-down shop selling souvenirs and the odd, corner store and other service providers. The finance for the project-funded activities comes from several sources: the EU, the region of Calabria and left-of-centre charities such as Associazione Ricreativa Culturale Italiana. “
But now….
“The shops and workshops previously occupied by migrants are now shuttered. The village’s historic streets are largely deserted, with funereal music occasionally punctuating the silence. Colourful, multi-ethnic murals can still be seen on walls, testimony to the experiment that took place here and the hopes for migrant integration it spawned in Italy and beyond, before it failed amid alienated locals and allegations of fraud.”
Having put the YahooSpeak to one side I sought to establish what actually happened. And it wasn’t easy as the coverage supplied by the search engines was wall-to-wall acclamation with the occasional vague references to dark forces of the right working to undermine this multi-ethnic utopia. But I was still able to establish how the Riace experiment actually played out.
Corrupt local politician sees an opportunity to get his paws on oodles of cash from the EU and other globalists desperate to create a multicultural success story. And the money duly poured in. This was in part used to finance ‘enterprises’ operated by the migrants. Naturally enough the town benefited financially. And the Mayor got his personal share by way of sweetheart deals on municipal contracts, human trafficking and, it is rumoured, drug dealing. Then for a variety of reasons the flow of funds declined and with it the so-called profits of the so-called enterprises. This was bad enough but as the social problems grew in direct proportion to the number of migrants the locals rebelled. Muslims had begun imposing their own religious norms while Africans were behaving like Africans, stealing, littering and sexually assaulting local girls. Once the Mayor’s chicanery was exposed the game was up. He’s now out on bail and in the recent elections he didn’t get enough votes to even win a seat on the local Council as the ‘far right’ swept the boards.
I’ve always said that multiculturalism works until it stops working. By which I mean that such societies are inherently unstable, just waiting for a spark to ignite a conflagration. Riace got off lightly, its failure resolved peacefully. As time goes on such peaceful resolutions will be the exception rather than the rule.

  1. And Now For The Truth! Irish Savant Has No Idea Of What He Is Talking About, Now You Can Hear It From An Italian!!!!

    First of all, let me admit this. IT BURNS THE HELL OUT OF ME, TO HEAR A WHITE IRISH IGNORAMUS TALK ABOUT A COUNTRY’S PROBLEM THAT HE HAS OBVIOUSLY NEVER ACTUALLY SEEN FOR HIMSELF!

    So let’s get some facts into this Irish nitwit story. Where do you think all the money came from, when he so mindlessly put it, I quote

    “Riace was rundown and very poor. The town’s economy was rescued by the migrants’ arrival: the projects generate jobs, the property rentals support individual families and the turnover in the local shops has grown. ”

    The town’s economy was rescued? By whom! You think those migrants brought bags of money with them? No! It came out of taxes, taxes that Italians paid. All to provide services to interlopers who have no right in being here in Italy, and that you people in Ireland think WE Italians should take the whole brunt of the burden to providing for their Earthly needs. Where is Ireland in this tragedy? How much have you Irish Savant paid for helping these Africans. The sanctimoniousness of Irish Savant to tell Italians that they should be proud to be PAYING THE FULL COST of supporting these interlopers, and they are interlopers into our country, is just palpable! Hey Irish Savant ….GO TO HELL!!!

    We are over run with people that the rest of the West and especially the USA and UK are pushing to create ever more of these desperate people, whom rightly are looking for a safe and productive life. I don’t begrudge that. What I begrudge is how you people in other countries don’t seem to give a damn about the consequences of your foreign policies and nightmare wars that you are waging around the world!

    As an Italian myself. Let me tell you what is really going on here in Italy with all these people:

    – I have a friend he is from Ghana (and shall remain nameless for obvious reasons), he has been here in Italy now for 10 years, and he still has not been given Italian citizenship, he is perpetually kept in limbo, by my own compatriots. For example, nobody here in my city of Turin will help him get documents from Sicily where he first entered. A simple fax would do the trick, but the bureaucracy here keeps pushing him to expensive private services, which he has no money to pay for, or force him to lose his job so he can go to Sicily and get the papers himself. This is typical! Black people are treated very badly, and too boot, they get paid less than Italians… a lot less! And yet they stay? Why? Because they dream of better futures. But what about Italian futures? Do we have to provide a future for these people when not even their own governments are willing too? Do we Italians have to solve the problems of all the people of the world, and put us Italians last? Do we Italians have to take the brunt of this Invasion of desperate people all because you people in America and the UK want to have a cheap cup of hot cappuccino every morning, that not even many Italians do now (we used to, but even that is becoming hard to do!).

    – Most Italians are racists. And when I say most, I mean most! Like over 50%. All my relatives are racist, most of all the people in the building a I live in, are racists. Italians DON’T LIKE BLACKS! And that is a fact! And why should they? Why should Italy and therefore Italians have to like anybody? I hate Americans, for all the evil they do in the world, even all those Americans that write stories, which you people on this website so proudly advertise, which on paper cry for the sorrow of others, and yet those same authors go buy food, cars and everything else that support a US economy that obtain it with missile diplomacy all so as to impose their evil so they can have their hot coffee and fast cars everyday! Give me a break!

    – So yes Italians are very bad, but that’s only because we have bad governments, and we did that to ourselves. Punto basta! But are these people coming to Italy going to help to make Italy better? No! They take jobs away from Italians, they are forced to live meagerly and therefore sanitation is falling apart. Italians then have high unemployment rates, we have an over aging population all because there is not enough work for the people who are already here! Infra-structure in Italy is not designed for such over use by people who have no intention of even staying. For most of them want to go to the UK or Germany! How does that benefit us? Do you understand the crippling economic cost that puts on REAL ITALIANS THAT PAY REAL TAXES!

    – Do Italians want to get rid of all these “stranieri” as we call them? YES. I do to! Why? Because they are not our problem. We did not create this nightmare YOU ANGLOS DID! This is your problem. You British like to poke fun at us Italians, as we do about you, but you British have absolutely NOT A BLOODY THOUGHT FOR THE NIGHTMARE YOU AND THE YANKS ARE CREATING FOR THE REST OF US! You think you have problems in Britain? You don’t have anything like the nightmare we have here in Italy. WE ARE OVER RUN!

    If we are going to solve this problem, we need to first accept the real reason why this problem exists in the first place. That reason being, the Americans with grand support from the rest of the Anglo world is creating huge masses of movements of people which are being left largely at the doorstep of countries like Italy, Greece and France and Spain. You laugh at us and our economies, well why don’t you really come here in Italy, and instead of staying at the resorts or hotels, come and visit me! And I’ll show you a world that you never thought existed on this blessed planet WE call Earth. You watch your fake news tv programs and read fake news newspapers, well I have to live with the REAL NEWS every day. And it ain’t pretty!

    As an Italian, I will admit we have many “Italian” issues that we brought onto ourselves, like bad political parties, and poor social self-responsibilities that we are now paying for. I admit that. But as much as we are slowly changing these very old habits, it is very hard to deal with these more inherent issues we have with life, politics and social inter-relations, when we have to deal with the exogenous forces that are up turning our socio-economic attempts to improve our society. All thanks largely to the pirating activities of the United States and how the West obsequiouses to the USA, especially the Anglo world.

    If you want a better world, then start treating every other country the way you want to be treated yourselves. Until that day, you get treated the way you treat others, and I am not sorry to say that. If you want peace and goodwill on Earth, then stop your warring and evil ways!

  2. Dorian;
    I have many Italian friends:
    My wife is Italian—-she is fluent in English—-but speaks English with the most wonderful Italian accent:
    When she writes to me using the English language—-she does so with an Italian accent:
    Her English words are written (or said) in a certain order, quite different from an American, an Australian—-or an English speaking ‘Peat Bog Savage’ like meself (that would be 100% Irishman):
    You use far too many words that even the most fluent English speaking Italian would never use, and, as sure as hell you don’t write with an Italian accent:
    ‘Course, your dear Mother and/or Father may have been Irish:
    As for what you have to say—-I agree with you 100%: Ireland has the very same problems you describe:
    Thankfully, Meself and herself live in Russia—-so we don’t have to put up with all the ‘western’ Multiculturalism and Political Correctness crap:
    Oh! Be a decent fellow and send a brief apology to the ‘Irish Savant’—-he’s one of the pitiful few left in the world to bother to write such a story:
    Fondest Regards, Mylesius Hibernicus:

  3. You are a savant of bullshit…. Blacks-invaders are pushed on all of us to cause chaos and to destroy western culture… No borders means no more freedom….

  4. Dorian is it not the EU that forced your country to take all these people. Leave the EU and your country would not be suffering this. Also, think of the billions that has been poured into all these poor countries. Who gets rich from this money….their leaders, that’s who. Its not the whole fault of America or UK or even tiny Ireland. The world could flood Africa with all the money in the world and it would not make a difference. It’s the problem of their left wing leaders who become rich while their people starve.

  5. Dorian and km, you obviously did not read all the way to the end of Irish Savant’s editorial. The transitional points were clearly indicated in the words, “But now….” and “Having put the YahooSpeak to one side I sought to establish what actually happened.”

  6. dorian is right, its the same in the UK whn there are not enough jobs homes or opportunities for our own people why import in more ?

  7. I was born and raised for while in a predominately Italian town in an Australian food belt and they were fresh immigrants back then and thanks Dorian for reminding me why I felt they had invaded the place. This might be a cheap comment but what goes around comes around Dorian or what you put out comes back, no use taking it out on someone who has just informed us of what went on. Perhaps rally your government Dorian to get the hell out of Libya the Italians have proven themselves again and again to be just as evil as the rest no one can stand exceptional especially in the west might pay to remember this.

  8. Very important Italian politicians made a “deal” with EU according to which Italy would have take a lot of immigrants from Africa and in change EU would be less severe about the rules for the Italian public finance, in other words, the “deal” was: immigrants from Africa for flexibility in Italian public financial accounts.

    That “deal” has been very bad for Italy because Italy didn’t have the promised decent financial flexibility by EU, just a little bit, a misery, and in addition to the damage, there has also been the insult that Italy was invaded by a horde of African Muslim immigrants without any useful skill.

    Before that, there has been another kinf of “deal” and it was with Malta, the “special deal” was: Maltese oil for Italy and African immigrants ( African immigrants who should go to Malta) for Italy.

    The logical consequence of all this is that Riace was and has been just the tip of this iceberg in which common Italian people get fucked by EU, Malta and important Italian politicians, all this with the complicity of Italian and European media mainstream which knew those strange “deals” but kept silence, in other words and in conclusione:

    Riace has been just a tip of an iceberg and above all a tool of the propaganda by Italian and EU immigrationists of any kind, from the foolest to the most mephistophelean

    Best regards.

    Fabrice, greetings from Italy.

    PS I’ll tell something more precise about those “deals” in the next post.

  9. @Dorian

    Italy is still just a faithful vassal of the America Empire and the reason is quite simple:

    in Italy there are 115 US-NATO military bases, here is a useful article about this issue:

    https://byebyeunclesam.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/basi_non_baci.pdf

    And they also contain almost 90 American atomic bombs but Italian media mainstream never speak about it, what a strange coincidence……

    Hence, you can’t complain about the wars around the world of USA if before you don’t challenge and reject the belonging of Italy to NATO,however, any important Italian politician who would make a thing like that would have his/her career destroyed in a very short time, in the past century some of them were even killed for this reason: Enrico Mattei and Aldo Moro, in the meanwhile Hollywood made the films about the bad Italian mob and the good American soldiers around the world, welcome to the Orwellian modern times!!

    All the best.

    Fabrice, greetings from Italy.

  10. Specifications about the “deals” I was speaking about in my first post.

    First part.

    As far as the import of immigrants from Africa for flexibility in Italian public financial accounts, here is the specification.

    The “populist” party Movimento 5 Stelle found a video where Emma Bonino, former Minister for Foreign Affaris, admitted that Italian governments had agreed that everyone rescued by Frontex should be brought to Italy. So the beans are spilt: all the migrants were being shipped to Italy because… the Italian government decided so. It may be that the then Prime Minister Matteo Renzi traded flexibility on the Italian budged with the European Commission in exchange for taking in all the migrants rescued in Italian and international waters by Frontex.

    Almost there. It was not just a simple trade. The immigration policy adopted by the Monti, Letta and Renzi governments isn’t casual, it’s actually planned. The Italian NGOs provide the political argument, juridical support and lobbying within the Italian political system whereas the international NGOs provide the transport from Africa to Italy. The reasoning is actually rather simple: to offset the fact that Italian births are lower than deaths, Italy should import migrants from the rest of the world; the theory is listed on the UN website under the name “Replacement migration“.

    The suggestion that the Italian governments adopted it comes from Emma Bonino herself, who insists Italy should take 160’000 migrants a year within that policy framework,5)with Laura Boldrini, President of the Lower Chamber, suggesting 300-400’000,6)and Luigi Manconi, Senator of the ruling Democratic Party, author of the book “Accogliamoli Tutti” – “Let’s welcome everyone”,7)citing the same arguments. The Monti and Letta government respectively also assigned the ministry in charge of immigration and integration policies to members of “Comunità di Sant’Egidio”, the President Andrea Riccardi and Cécile Kyenge respectively, the latter of whom wrote the preface to Manconi’s book. If government members in charge of immigration and foreign affairs but also parliament deputies openly state that their approach to the topic is to welcome hundreds of thousands of people, going as far as saying that “if they weren’t coming, Italy should go to Africa to take them”,(Bonino again on facebook,8) )then why is everyone surprised that it’s actually happening?

    First part.

    As far as the import of immigrants from Africa for flexibility in Italian public financial accounts, here is another specification, the confirmation.

    June 2019

    Matteo Salvini publishes a video of Pier Carlo Padoan who admits EU migrant agreement in exchange for flexibility on the Italian public accounts.

    The protagonists of the video posted on the official Facebook profile of Matteo Salvini are the former Minister of Economy of the PD ( Partito Democratico = Democratic Party ) Pier Carlo Padoan and Massimo Garavaglia of the Lega ( League )

    Pier Carlo Padoan said: “It is not that we have traded migrants for flexibility. We have done Europe a favor and Europe has partially repaid us very poorly.”

    PS Pier Carlo Padoan (born 19 January 1950) is an Italian economist who served as Minister of Economy and Finances of Italy from 2014 to 2018.

    Pier Carlo Padoan was director of the International Monetary Fund for Italy from 2001 to 2005. On 1 June 2007, he became Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

    As far as the the “special deal” Maltese oil for Italy and African immigrants ( African immigrants who should go to Malta) for Italy, here is the specification.

    “Did Italy And Malta Actually Agree To Swap Oil Rights For Refugees?”

    by James Burgess of OilPrice, published by Zerohedge.

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-04-05/did-italy-and-malta-actually-agree-swap-oil-rights-refugees

    Conclusione, yes, they did!

    They simply fucked Maltese and Italian common citizens for money!

  13. Specifications about the “deals” I was speaking about in my first post.

    Second part.

    As far as the the “special deal” Maltese oil for Italy and African immigrants ( African immigrants who should go to Malta) for Italy, here is a very interesting integration.

    FT: While conducting research with Luca Donadel, another investigative journalist, I made an interesting discovery of a 2015 secret deal that Renzi in his capacity as PM of the Italian government made with Ireland and Malta, and which was prolonged by his successor Gentiloni. It lasted, for what we have been able to find out, at least until 2017. It was called operation Pontus.

    GE: Pontus reminds us vaguely of a bridge, doesn’t it?

    FT: A bridge operated by the Irish Navy with at least six different military ships and most likely paid – unknowingly – by the Italian taxpayers! This discovery can be dated back to the summer of 2017 when, together with Donadel, I noticed an Irish military vessel that was calling on a regular basis at Sicilian ports. What made us suspicious of all this was the fact that the Republic of Ireland was at that time no part of Operation Frontex, the Italian coordinated EU SAR (Search and Rescue) task force. This activity was not mentioned at all by the Italian press altogether. The Irish did, however, provide an answer to our enquiries, without any reluctance.

    GE: And the answer was?

    FT: That the Irish Navy was indeed engaged in SAR operations under a bilateral agreement with the Italian government signed in May 2015, then renewed in 2016 and 2017. The official statement released by the Irish Department of Defence made clear that the Irish Navy was operating in strict collaboration with the Italian authorities. Then suddenly the Irish became tight-lipped: they stopped answering my inquiries about the financing of this somewhat secret operation. Why this sudden reticence? My guess is that Renzi and Gentiloni had their own SAR operation financed by the unaware Italian taxpayers, and the Irish felt uneasy about disclosing what was really going on. It later turned out that this was not the only secret operation conducted by the Italian government.

    GE: What else was going on?

    FT: In July 2018 the leader of the opposition to the Maltese government, Arian Delia, revealed the existence of a secret deal dating back to 2014 between Renzi and Malta’s PM Joseph Muscat. Delia mentioned nothing less than a contract between the two: Malta would grant Italy oil exploitation rights in Maltese waters in exchange for not allowing SAR vessels to unload immigrants in Maltese ports.

    Via GEFIRA,

    AN INTERVIEW WITH FRANCESCA TOTOLO

    Francesca Totolo is a freelance investigative journalist and collaborates with a variety of Italian and international press agencies and websites. Her investigations have been published both in Italy and abroad. We could easily call Totolo a diligent – and outspoken – journalist as her new book, which she wrote with Dante’s Inferno in mind, involves just that: solid, painstaking, diligent research and fact-checking. The result is the equivalent of an encyclopedia of who’s who in the business (Spa is the Italian acronym for joint-stock company, equivalent of the German AG) of the immigrants’ industry, an industry which moves an unending flow of human beings and money.

    She has divided her book into different sections, entitling them with some of Dante’s appellatives in his Divine Comedy: first the ferrymen or Charons who deliver thousands of human beings to the other bank, then the hypocritical NGOs followed by the traitors to the country at all levels, sided by the omnipresent politically correct mainstream media and well-funded organizations of all sorts.

    All these infernal characters have in the end one Master Mind, who acts like a modern and nefarious Virgil: George Soros and his mind-boggling network. Totolo is ready to point out, at the conclusion of her book, that Soros is himself an actor, albeit of the highest level, lending his face to higher “movers and shakers behind the curtains”, who have already decided that the original European population must be replaced.

  14. The Big Picture about the the “deals” I was speaking about in my first post.

    First part.

    Replacement Migration: Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?

    United Nations projections indicate that over the next 50 years, the populations of virtually all countries of Europe as well as Japan will face population decline and population ageing. The new challenges of declining and ageing populations will require comprehensive reassessments of many established policies and programmes, including those relating to international migration.

    Focusing on these two striking and critical population trends, the report considers replacement migration for eight low-fertility countries (France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States) and two regions (Europe and the European Union). Replacement migration refers to the international migration that a country would need to offset population decline and population ageing resulting from low fertility and mortality rates.

    “Soros-Sponsored Immigration Network Exposed In Italy”

    by Tyler Durden

    Mon, 07/17/2017

    Via GEFIRA.org,

    The following article is based on Francesca Totolo’s research published on lucadonadel.it.

    Open Borders, Media Censorship

    Why is there a migrant crisis in the Mediterranean? Why are NGOs involved? Because there is an extensive network of open borders activists and organizations behind it; many of them are directly funded by or cooperated with George Soros’ Open Society. Is it illegal? Not really. Political activism is an essential part of democratic societies. However, sometimes it goes too far, or the promoted causes prove to be either unrealistic or unsustainable.

    The network of the “immigration lobby’’ in Italy is made up of International NGOs financed by the Open Society Foundation (green), Italian NGOs financed by OSF (blue), and organizations with shared projects with OSF (purple).

  16. I’ll write a short final comment later or tomorrow but at this point should be very clear that massive immigration from Africa to countries belonging to EU is planned by United Nations, EU and elites of European countries, they simply want to transform European countries into a gigantic multi-ethnic society where obviously European elites will have a very easy game of dictating the rules for their own exclusive benefit, that’s it!!

    Best regards.

    Fabrice, greetings from Italy.

  17. QUESTION

    I’ve just written several posts to give specifications on the issues just mentioned in my first post but they don’t appear at all, have you stopped to publish the posts by the readers of this article? Or what else?

    Best regards.

    Fabrice, greetings from Italy.

  18. Well, Well, Well….I Hit The Jackpot On This Story!

    Many comments and replies! Well done people, I applaud you. Now its my turn again!

    @Myles Murphy
    You maybe married to an Italian women, but it is you that is writing, not her! Why doesn’t your wife write something? As for my English and Italian, go ask your wife if she can categorically say that all Italians even speak Italian! I for myself and my family, we don’t even speak or write Italian to each other, we speak “la nostra lingua”, that means our language, I communicate in a hybrid of Triestino and linga di paese, that means local village tongue. You think when you read the Italian newspapers that people even talk like that home? NO! In Naples they talk Napoletano, only the stuffed shirts in government talk Italian. For the record, the Italian language that is taught in school is a fabricated language, its not even real! Everyone speaks their own tongue at home. I write in Italian the way I write English, do you really think I write English like what you are reading right now professionally! Of course not! If you could read Italian you would find in every region of Italy that you would have difficulty understanding what they write and say in the comments all because EVERYONE rights in the own “mixed family, regional, historical sense”. For hell’s sake, even Italians find it difficult from North to South to understand each other! Its been like since that idiot Garibaldi united Italy. So don’t tell me anything about Italian, when not even your wife is prepared to even write here in front of everyone and “show us” how to do it!

    Myles and Myles wife: keep your pompous ignorant understanding to yourselves, if you want perfection, go read The Bible! That’s a sarcastic comment, if you didn’t know better.

    è un commento sarcastico, se non si sapessi… capisci! Ma che roba! addesso io devo ascoltare ai englesi e finte donne italiane come io devo scrivere italiano…. ma va f*****!

    [EN Translation: its a sarcastic comment, if you didn’t know…understand! What the stuff! Now I have to listen to the English and fake Italian women how I should write in Italian ….what the f***!]

    Is that Italian enough for you Myles and Myles’ Italian wife who can’t write a word of english!

    @km
    Hey Km where do you live? You live in France, Spain, or here in Italy? I can show you places here in Italy, that would make you sick to your stomach on how these Africans live. You have no idea.

    I bet you are somewhere on the British Isles. Well, listen here you Brit, come to Turin, tell me when you are here, I’ll show you a world that will make you clearly open your eyes. I have been to Britain, and you people have got it easy, WAY easy, compared to what is going on here, on continental Europe. You people create wars! But we here in Italy, have to pay for them.

    I know, we have a corrupt and incompetent government. I admit that! Why is it so hard for you people to admit that YOU TOO have bad governments and that we ALL need to start respecting each others’ lives and economic societies. Right now, it is the British helping the Americans, doing EVIL, and yes we in Italy need to stop our governments from AIDING you. I am working on that! Believe you me I am working on that!

    @Brian
    Why are all these people coming to Europe? Because YOU Anglos are bombing and destroying their homes! FULL STOP! LIVE WITH THAT FACT!

    @Chris Lanzi
    YES I READ IT. NOW YOU READ THIS…don’t cherry pick the one little sentence of the entire peace so it fits your narrative. READ THIS….I reprint it below…
    Here is your “famous”,
    But now….

    Chris look carefully, Irish Savant is quoting someone else:

    “The shops and workshops previously occupied by migrants are now shuttered. The village’s historic streets are largely deserted, with funereal music occasionally punctuating the silence. Colourful, multi-ethnic murals can still be seen on walls, testimony to the experiment that took place here and the hopes for migrant integration it spawned in Italy and beyond, before it failed amid alienated locals and allegations of fraud.”

    those words are not his, they are some else’s, so what does the Savant say:

    Savant:
    “Having put the YahooSpeak to one side I sought to establish what actually happened. And it wasn’t easy as the coverage supplied by the search engines was wall-to-wall acclamation with the occasional vague references to dark forces of the right working to undermine this multi-ethnic utopia. But I was still able to establish how the Riace experiment actually played out.”

    Savant can figure out how the Riace experiment played out, really! How intellectual of him. Let’s see what he has learned:

    Savant:
    “Corrupt local politician sees an opportunity to get his paws on oodles of cash from the EU and other globalists desperate to create a multicultural success story. He’s now out on bail and in the recent elections he didn’t get enough votes to even win a seat on the local Council as the ‘far right’ swept the boards.”

    Ah yes white Irish logic at its best. The problem is the “corrupt Italian” politicians, no word about how “Italians pay taxes”, not a single word how WE Italians foot the bill for YOUR evil wars. No, No, No! Its the corrupt Italian officials, that destroyed this “fake economy” and didn’t allow it prosper! Right so Chris Lanzi answer this question? How do Italians pay taxes to civil servants, and the expect to grow an economy, based upon African interlopers who pay no taxes and just live of ordinary Italian purses? Answer that genius! It is clear you are some sort of the communistic or socialistic person that thinks the world can live off other people’s taxes. Well you do that for you country, we Italy have to live with this kind of Mafia thinking for too long. No thank you Chris…..you are, how do you say it, “out to lunch, on this one!”. I stand by my words on the Irish Savant, “GO TO HELL”.

    @cornelius from kings lynn
    THANK YOU CORNELIUS! I feel today with all I am writing I just hit treasure, with your words. Bless you. I pray that you and your country will one day start healing itself, as I wish for my country, and that one day we can live together with a united view on life and hope for the future. You’re few words fill my heart. Thank you.

    I look forward to hearing from you more, even if you disagree with me from time to time! That’s ok! More voice is less ignorance (well eventually it leads to less ignorance, ha ha!).

    @dunno y
    Mate, you are behind the times. Italy is not in Libya, Americans are their backing an illegal government, after they destroyed Libya, began stealing its oil, and murdered its people including Gadaffi. You are living in the past dunno y. Russia is actually backing the LEGIT government. Italy is not bombing and evading any country, it is only aiding support by giving the evil countries like the US land for their air forces. Which in itself is too much. I WANT TO CLOSE THE US AND BRITISH AIR BASES DOWN IN EUROPE. THEY ARE THE ONES DOING THIS EVIL.

    I don’t deny Italy is giving military support, but only because we the US Military that is on our lands, they have to go!

    @Fabrice
    Grazie Fabrice! Grazie! Sie bravo! Sie assolutomente giusto! BRAVO!!

    I am sorry Fabrice for not posting sooner. I have some health issues and they stop me from working at my computer at times, and I go quiet, and then when I came back I just go to the next story. Its not easy sometimes to keep up with past comments. So I let them slide. I apologize if I made you felt ignored. Its not my intent. Honestly.

    But I agree with everything you said! Yes we have many problems here in Italy. We need to fix Italy. But I will say this…

    I don’t trust cinque stelle or the La Lega. I have seen them in operation, they do the same lies as the other parties just to gather support.

    To All People:
    People don’t understand that just because Italy is part of NATO, it doesn’t mean we are bombing North Africa and the Middle East. We are not! But we do provide support to those who do. And yes I ADMIT we still do have problems with our governments in Italy.

    MESSAGE TO EVERYONE:
    ITALIAN GOVERNMENTS HAVE BEEN CORRUPT SINCE THE ADVENT OF GARIBALDI UNITING ITALY. BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOUR GOVERNMENTS HAVEN’T. BRITISH AND USA GOVERNMENTS HAVE BEEN WORSE. THEY HAVE CREATED WORLD WARS AND ARE STILL STEALING FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD.

    The big problem is that people in the US and UK are so brainwashed into thinking they have “just” governments. NONSENSE! Your governments are PURE EVIL! You lie, cheat, steal, ransom, murder your way to riches, and then have the temerity to write in your history books how noble and wonderful you were all when you spread your economic prosperity to the rest of the world! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT!

    Fabrice we have a lot of work to do!
    È tempo per la verità! Non solo qua in Italia…ma per tutto mondo!

    Welcome to the fight Fabrice!

    Greetings back to you Fabrice, from Torino.

    Grazie Fabrice! Grazie! Sie bravo! Sie assolutomente giusto! BRAVO!!”, Dorian

    That’s very kind of you but I’m not so good, the matter is pretty simple: I don’t rely on media mainstream at all and as a logical consequence I do my own independent research, I select few independent sources of high quality in Italian and English, apart from that, I always ask simple uncomfortable questions, the first of all in any kind of social and economic issue is: Cui Prodest? Common people or the elites? and so on!

    Just a useful integration to my last post.

    1. Telegraph, Pritchard: “L’Unione Europea è sempre stata un progetto della Cia”, Imolaoggi

    Giugno 2016

    I sostenitori del Brexit avrebbero dovuto essere preparati all’intervento dirompente degli Stati Uniti. L’Unione Europea è sempre stata un progetto americano.

    E’ stata Washington a guidare l’integrazione europea alla fine degli anni ’40, e a finanziarla di nascosto sotto le amministrazioni Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson e Nixon. Anche se a volte si sono innervositi, fin da allora gli Stati Uniti hanno fatto affidamento sulla UE come l’ancora degli interessi regionali americani assieme alla NATO.

    l movente di Truman era evidente. L’accordo di Yalta con l’Unione Sovietica si stava incrinando. Voleva un fronte unito per scoraggiare il Cremlino da un’ulteriore espansione dopo che Stalin aveva inghiottito la Cecoslovacchia, a maggior ragione dopo che la Corea del Nord comunista aveva attraversato il 38 ° parallelo invadendo il Sud.

    Per gli euroscettici britannici, Jean Monnet aleggia nel pantheon federalista, eminenza grigia della malvagità sovranazionale. Pochi sono consapevoli del fatto che Monnet ha trascorso gran parte della sua vita in America, e che ha servito come gli occhi e le orecchie di Franklin Roosevelt in tempo di guerra.

    Il Generale Charles de Gaulle pensava che fosse un agente americano, come del resto era, in senso lato. La biografia di Monnet a cura di Eric Roussel rivela come egli abbia lavorato a braccetto con le amministrazioni successive.

    E’ strano che questo imperioso studio di mille pagine non sia mai stato tradotto in inglese dal momento che è il miglior lavoro mai scritto sulle origini della UE.

    Né molti sono a conoscenza dei documenti declassificati degli archivi del Dipartimento di Stato che mostrano che lo spionaggio degli Stati Uniti ha finanziato di nascosto il movimento europeo per decenni, e ha lavorato in modo aggressivo dietro le quinte per spingere la Gran Bretagna nel progetto.

    I read the first link it got me too angry for me to go once I read this:

    D’Alema: “principio secondo cui ci sono momenti in cui è inevitabile, quando si tratta di difendere valori come i diritti umani, che non possono essere accantonati nel nome della sovranità nazionale”.

    For our non Italian readers, let me translate, D’Alema was the President of Italy around 2000 just when NATO bombed Serbia, anyway this is what he said above, he was defending his actions for playing a part in the Serbia attack by NATO which Italy was involved:

    “in principle there are moments when it is inevitable, when it comes to our treatment of defending values like human rights, which cannot be put to one side for in the name of national sovereignty”.

    Ok, this really burns me up. Who’s national sovereignty? Italy’s? Explain to me what was Serbia doing to Italy? We all know now that the attack on Serbia was unjust. That has been made clear, and yet D’Alema was in reality TOO MUCH of a coward to stand up to the Americans. We all know that Kosova is a basket case. Economically it is a mess. And where are the Americans today? NOWHERE! This is all the Americans do, destroy, destroy, destroy, and everyone else has to fix everything they destroy, which in turns means we have to buy stuff from the Americans. That is what NATO’s function is all about, creating opportunities for American companies to sell to Europe everything that the Americans destroys. And Europe becomes poorer!

    The whole point is this. Italy was then and still is militarily a vassal state of the USA. We had stupid/weak governments then, just when Italy was starting to get into serious economic trouble as we find ourselves in today. And we still have stupid weak governments today. What good did all this bombing of Serbia achieve? NOTHING! To our Serbian friends, I ON BEHALF OF ALL ITALIANS APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT WE WERE APART OF BACK THEN. This is what happens when our government is too focused on US policy and not enough on Italian policy.

    Moving on ….

    Fabrice, con tutto rispetto, write in English or give Italian and then English translations. This is an English site, so respect the implied rules. I’ve been kicked off too many sites, I am running out of websites where I can go! I know I am pushing the dialog already with my strong opinions. I hate to start upsetting the admins for language violations, even though they aren’t stipulated directly, I am sure the community here would revolt if we started putting down dialog in other languages other than English. They are pretty easy right now, but if we start getting complaints from other readers, then we could find ourselves excommunicato!

    For everyone else Fabrice in his last post was writing about how the European Union was highly motivated by the US so it can be used as a tool with NATO to do its evil. In many ways I understand Fabrice’s thoughts on this and there is a lot of evidence to strongly suggest this. But whatever the circumstances surrounding the EU and NATO and how they work together, Fabrice we need to focus on three things:

    1) Show our humanity: Not to let the US and its Allied forces to get away with its lies, murdering of innocent people and stealing other country’s resources;
    2) Show our nationality! We need to extract Italy away from the EU or at least stop playing ball with the EU so we can start helping our nation;
    3) Show we don’t need NATO anymore: GET RID OF NATO ——-FOREVER——–!!!!!

    Fabrice it is obvious you care about our country. Good. That’s important. But we need everyone here on at least this website to understand that there are people like us in Italy, and they should start showing more respect for our country and our needs and to just ridicule Italy like they always do. We Italians need to stand up and start showing the world we are not “a joke”, like how the Anglo world thinks of us.

    For everyone reading these words:
    TO THE WHOLE WORLD READ THIS AND DON’T FORGET IT!

    Only one nation in the history of Mankind has made a major impact on the world by changing it through the arts, government, militarily, and all aspects of society like song, literature and love, and doing this TWICE in history. That is Italy! For nearly 1,000 years Italy and Italians through the Roman Empire, we started the Modern world. Yes it was done by force, but it was Italy that invented things like concrete that built an Empire. Once again several hundred years later, while all of Europe and the Western World lingered in the Dark Ages, it was Italy that brought enlightenment to the West. Yes the Arabians were already prospering, but they were not free, they were under the Islamic yoke. Italians brought Science, Art, Mathematics and Engineering back into Europe. No nation in the History of Mankind as done this kind of fetes twice!

    We Italians live on a peninsula shaped like a boot. But La Nostra Stivale (Our Boot) is strange, for we have no resources other than our soil to feed ourselves and our people. We have no minerals, other than our marbles, we have no ores, we have no fuel, we have no chemicals, we have nothing but our hands and our brains, and so we create! Western society is based upon Roman Laws. If it wasn’t for the Roman Empire, Europe would still be a land of savages. Maybe that’s a good thing, for then North America would still be populated by the American Natives. Yes and you Americans don’t forget, it was Amerigo Vespucci that gave you your country’s name, the United States of America. Fine you Americans created the “United States” part but that was through bloodshed.

    Laugh all you like. But Italy will come back and it will for a third time show leadership to the world on how we need to go forward to the future!

    Fabrice keep the good work up. FOR WE ARE THE NEW ITALIANS, AND FOR EVERYONE ELSE ESPECIALLY ALL YOU ANGLOS…..

    ……………WE ITALIANS ARE BACK!
