Introduction — July 25, 2018
The acid attack in Worcester that left a 3-year-old burned is bad enough. However, what is really appalling about this case is the media coverage. Or more precisely, what the media failed to report.
There is one salient fact central to this story that many corporate media outlets were pointedly silent about. See if you can spot what’s missing.
Worcester Acid Attack: Five Men Charged Following Attack On Boy, 3
Kathryn Snowden — Huffington Post July 25, 2018
Five men have been charged following a suspected acid attack on a three-year-old boy at the weekend.
West Mercia Police said three men from London, aged 22, 25 and 26, and a 39-year-old and 41-year-old from Wolverhampton have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily.
They are due before magistrates in Kidderminster on Wednesday.
The force said it would not be releasing the names of those who have been charged.
The boy suffered serious burns to his face and an arm in the alleged incident at Home Bargains in Tallow Hill on Saturday afternoon.
He was discharged from hospital on Sunday after treatment but the long-term implications of his injuries are as yet unknown.

The following BBC report also omits to mention the same crucial information. Is this a coincidence? Or are the Huffington Post, the BBC and most of the mainstream media being instructed on how to report certain news items?
Readers will recall how in the run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion we were inundated with reports about Saddam Hussein and his Weapons of Mass Destruction.
The BBC even broadcast interviews with what it described as credible witnesses to Iraq’s WMD program. Like engineer Adnan al-Haideri, who claimed that the weapons “have been hidden away in heavily populated areas, even under a hospital in Baghdad.”
Except that they weren’t. No trace of them were ever found but such talk helped pave the way for the 2003 invasion.
Little has changed since then. The corporate media is still trading in what amounts to disinformation. Although now it works through omission rather than outright lies.
The following BBC report covers exactly the same incident as the Huffington Post and like the Huff Post it makes exactly the same omission. See if you can guess what is not being reported?
