The following report illustrates how the Western corporate media is now censoring itself. Reporting on the incident The Guardian pointedly omits to mention what some other news outlets have noted.
According to Metro, the French media says that the suspect is of “Moroccan descent and is 37 years old. It is also reported that he is known by police for previous crimes”.
Metro also quotes Amaury Navarranne, from the regional council, as saying: “The religious motive of the attack is in no doubt”.
In other words another Muslim extremist has gone on the rampage but the Guardian is doing its best not to say as much. Ed.

Woman and girls stabbed ‘for wearing shorts and T-shirts’ at Alps resort

The Guardian — July 19, 2016

French authorities have detained a suspect after a woman and her three daughters were stabbed at an Alps resort by a man who was apparently upset at what they were wearing.

The woman, 46, and her girls, aged eight, 12 and 14, were staying at a holiday village near the town of Laragne-Montéglin, in the Hautes-Alpes region. The suspect, 37, from the Paris region, was staying with his family at the same resort.

Jean-Marc Duprat, a deputy mayor for the nearby town, said the attacker was upset with his victims because they were wearing shorts and T-shirts.

Raphaël Balland, a public prosecutor, said the motive for the attack was “very hazy”. A police source told the Nouvel Obs: “No words of a religious connotation were uttered.”

Local newspapers reported that the victims were taken to hospital and one of the girls was in a critical condition.
